Lexington Humane Society A Dangerous Mixture of Stupid and Evil Lexington, Kentucky |
7th of Dec, 2011 by User638107 |
These people are a terrible mixture of stupid and evil. I thoroughly believe that they would allow to a dog to die alone in a cage before giving it to a loving family. I went there and looked at and played with several dogs, widely ranging in size and breed, narrowed my choices down to two, was debating them at the front desk while I filled out the paperwork, and the very rude woman speaking to me, took the papers out from under me and told me I was "too indecisive" and she could not allow me to adopt a dog. My friend went back the next day to see if he could get the dog I had wanted, but was told he was not allowed to adopt, because he was not a homeowner. The dog we were trying to get was a very old, big dog that had been at the humane society a very long time, whose chances of finding another home were very slim. That dog will now probably die alone, because of that stupid bitch behind the front desk. Isn't the point of a humane society to provide new homes for homeless dogs? So why are they doing their best to prevent this? While I was there, I witnessed another two individuals also being refused their request to adopt a pet, because they did not have a picture ID with them and did not have other members of their household present. The Lexington Humane Society's qualifications for adoption ( or rather, bulls*it excuses to not do their job ) are much too high, and are doing nothing but harming the animals that stay there. |

Boy did you ever hit the nail on the head almost all of these so called humane societies are a combination of stupid and evil it’s the biggest scam ever pulled on society one of their main goals is to completely eliminate private rescue. How do they do this? They break into private shelters with the ok of local law enforcement that joins in the fun and kill the animals contained inside. Think I am kidding no way! In 2006 myself and two other Ladies were running a rescue barn in Stark County Ohio out on a 20 acre farm private property or so we thought since3 we were paying 600. a month for the barn . They came during the morning while we were working our day jobs cut the locks to the barn turned all the animals lose then killed 6 of them in the round up. The dogs were bloody and beaten strangled by the neck on rabies poles. When we showed up and found our barn empty the Magnolia police department who took part in the illegal entry was there to inform us that we were being charged with animal cruelty. The fight was on but it was to no avail for us, even though we took pictures of our 34 remaining alive animals after lawyering up only 4 days after animals were taken and pictures showed 34 healthy well fed cared for animals our own attorney and prosecutor told jury that these pictures were taken months after humane society had animals and everyone was now thanks to their wonderful care in perfect condition, I could not believe what went on in this court room, All of the evil cruel humane officers who had beaten and kicked these animals to death got on the stand and lied their ass off to save their rotten hides meantime six new born puppies died of parvo from their filthy infected cages. When their drunken vet who could not run his own office got on the stand and testified that it was his belief that these bloody animals died of heat exhaustion and when ask what he did to help them he said I hosed them down, I almost lost my lunch. I took this case all the way to the federal court even went to paralegal school to help myself understand search and seizure law it was all to no avail the fix was in the facts just did not matter, I will kept talking and telling this horror story because it is important to expose these scammers, there is so much that is at stake here not only the helpless animals that suffer at these mobsters but also our 4th amendment rights, the corruption of our courts.Itsd all about control with these people and by the way there is big money in it for them all they have to do is keep the public convinced that they are the hero’s they parade out a lucky few dogs that they have placed in homes making a big public deal of it mean time all the others are killed off so the majority of donation money can go to their big wages and fancy car’s that they drive. This has become such a lucrative business it’s now going on all over this country, every spring the round up’s began get the hoarders is their cry When the criminal is left to mine the candy store what do you think will happen? I am appalled. Purely emotionally and mentally appalled. It sounds like you did everything you could to rectify the situation like you said to no avail. Its a low down dirty shame when local law enforcement aids in breaking laws meant to serve and protect. makes all those corrupt cop movies and tv shows not so silly and unbelievable after all. But there has to be something you could do. I myself have a rescue puppy, she will always be a puppy to me, whom her previous owners admitted on craigslist a public forum that they were going to be leaving for a minimum 28 day stay at a rehab for god only knows exactly what and they stated IN THEIR POST if the pure bred beagle pup wasn't re homed by the time they left in two days they were going to do one of two things, abandon her there for at the least 28 days or throw her outside. I'm not particularly a dog person I don't hate them I just love my cats and I had three already, all rescued but not from such dier circumstances but this post hijacked my heart. I drove to illinois alone, I live in missouri mind you, which again wasn't my most shining moment, atm'd forty dollars I really shouldn't have and met the shadiest young man, I demanded we switch said meeting place to a well lit very populated restaurant parking lot, valet and all so I didn't have to be alone. God only knows what this poor girl suffered at these peoples hands but it only took about two days of me loving and doting on my” pure bred beagle” (she is a mutt, pure and simple, beagle and terrier of since kind we think, ) to bring her out of her very thick shell and make her see and know that we in this home won't be hurting and abusing and neglecting her. Like I said, not really a dog person, ... Until now. I've had her about two months and she is the third love of my life. The first being my beautiful son who like mommy never took to dogs but loved each one of our cats like they were his siblings, and my first rescue cat, my big fat Freddy Krueger who also never took to dogs that my friends and family had brought over in the past for barbeques and holiday get togethers. Both my sons, my human son lol and Freddy have taken to the mutt like I've never seen either of them do in their lifetimes. It took me weeks to choose her name until I was sitting through the Whitney Houston funeral crying my eyes out and my son woke up and immediately asked why I was crying, I just said the only thing I could think of to keep death out of a conversation with a two year old, ” I'm saying goodbye to Whitney.” To which my son replied, ” Whitney didn't go bye bye” then ran out of my room and came running back carrying the mutt, ” Whitney's right here.” It stuck immediately and everyone I this house including my curmudgeon father has fallen in love with our Whitney, including my feline household members, and mind you I didn't name my main man Freddy Krueger for no reason! I got him from a young mom as a kitten she was about to turn over to the jefferson county kill shelter cause she couldn't juggle single motherhood and an ” unruly” kitten that scratched her daughter while they were playing and wouldn't let her clip the claws. Needles to say it took two weeks of trying and eventually three people and many scratches to get his claws trimmed and in a joking comment I said ” damn you, your like Freddy Krueger, ... It stuck. Now Fred and Whitney are attached at the hip and they both sleep curled up with my son every night. I have a point I promise I'm not just telling my animal rescue trials and triumphs. anyway I have another cat that as a kitten a friend threw in my home while I was at work cause her owner couldn't care for her and they knew I wouldn't throw her out in to the cold. I have another who the woman said the animal control would be called on in a set number of days as this liter of teenage kittens just showed up on her porch wanting inside but she was allergic and getting annoyed at their constant howling, I have another kitten, Fred's pure black sister, the girl I got fred from called me saying her cat had another litter and her boyfriend gave her two days to get rid of all or he'd use each one for target practice. I couldn't leave work so I had to wait til my shift ended and by that time when I met her at the same grocery store parking lot I got her brother at there was only one of four left to take and rescue, sadly the other three were murdered by the sob she called her boyfriend. And finally I have a teenage kitten that one night when I opened to door with my son son in my arms to pack into the car for a walmart trip just walked right in my door like it was and always had been her home. Having four cats already I really truly didn't want her I couldn't afford the ones I had but we made do. I searches for her owners to no avail so id planned on turning her over to a rescue like what you have with the kind of loving care someone like you would give but alas my son would hear none of it since freddy has gotten too big to be carried around by my todler and the others tend to hide from the kids this little beautiful kitten was prefect size to be carried CONSTANTLY by my son. so like the others she's fixed through a low income program in my state and vetted and part of the family. Now, my point, there are people that take animal safety and protection as a passion and their lives work and purpose. And if you were truly ruining an entire farm as a loving rescue which I have no doubt you were and you weren't milling puppies that will only end up needing rescued when the puppy or kitten or whatever else you rescued, cuteness wears off then shame on that ” humane society” and shame shame double shame on your county that allowed and WAS PART OF what happened to you! I'm sure us three are not the only people in this country that are absolutely passionate about animal rescue! And like I said and admit I have more than my means allow sometimes but my son and father who also lives with me have their every need and some wants met and all six four legged family members are fed fixed and vetted and LOVED. I may forgo the new t shirt id been wanting for months or the designer purse I'll never care about but my entire seven family members eight if you include me are comfortable happy healthy and loved. I'm appalled at what was done to you both and especially you who's rescue was ransacked by OUR SO CALLED GOVERNMENT. I know you've said you've tried much to make this right and you may never see personal triumph for your trampled on rescue but there has to be something. If there is anything you haven't tried or anyone you haven't looked to for help and there is anything someone like me could help do I'd do it for this cause in a new york minute. And I guarantee you there and thousands if not hundreds of thousands of animal lovers who would tell you the same thing. I just came across this my chance today as I was looking up reviews for something else but one comment I'd read is very pertinent to this, ” get the media involved. Not only do they feed on scandal you can reach a wide range of interested and concerned citizens who will care in thus case most will care very deeply, about what happened to you and will be passionate about placing responsibility where it lies due, the people who did this to you! aimeejo1013 at gee mail dot com. I'm one of the people passionate about fixing what happened to you and taking down the disgraceful humans who did it to you. Thanks for enlightening me on the danger to our furry friends that lies in the hands of the very people who swear to protect them. |
