I have to say I have had better times. My recent experience at the LS of Gig Harbor was a disappointment. I have used LS in the past for the general repair of a flat. Yes they are great at that but here lies the problem. I bought a set of wheels and tires from another company. I needed my tire pressure sensor replaced from my old set. I pulled into the GH LS. They came strolling out. During the service write up the tech asked another tech if the wheels and tires would need rebalancing. The other tech said no. I later recieved a call from a tech asking me the same question. I asked them for their professional opinion and agreed to a rebalance. I picked up the vehicle and drove down the freeway. OMG! The vibration was horrible. I called LS and told them i would be back in the morning. That next morning they didnt come running. They pulled it back in and rebalanced it again. I took it to the freeway and same result. I went back again. The tech who balanced it first had his shot. Now a perhaps more experience tech gives it a shot. This tech is a real winner! He huffed and puffed about the wheels and tires i got. At one point he called my set up "crap". Is this that great customer service we all know and love? He tried 2 times and told me they were done. He even told me "you wanted us to balance them!" As I recall, I recieved a phone call from LS suggesting a balance. I drove home.....wobble, wobble. I got online and researched tire balancing. There are other ways than just a standard spin balance. That is a whole other story. I returned the next monday and asked for my money back for the balancing. Which was suggested by the last tech. So now im talking to the manager. He asked what happen so i explained to him my situation and that his tech has given up. Here is the friendly customer service talking, 'where did you get this junk?" Yet another highly skilled professional. I asked about road force balancing which is more costly than a standard balancing. I questioned why his tech hadnt suggested it? Something was ovioulsly not working out here. I believe an attitude trumped the knowledge of the job here. Perhaps too many standard tire patching. He quoted me and then said "we arent interested in help you" I just walked away. All because I didnt buy LS tires. Why offer a service if youre not willing to do it? Pride in customer service? NOT at GH LS! I guess your money is no good if i dont lock myself into a high interest rate credit account with LS Weeks down the road i did more research. I didnt want to go back to another LS. I ended up at the Tacoma LS. I cant tell you how great they are there. They came running everytime. I got a road force balance for cheap mind you. It took some time but the tech nailed it. He did everything he could do to balance these wheels. He even walked me through the process. This is service. No attitude, no sneed remarks! His performance made GH LS look like they should be change bicycle tires. I was so happy with the outstanding performance i rewarded the tech with a generous tip! I have a co worker who went to GH LS a couple weeks ago for a brake and suspension inspection. He got the inspection but also a dented fender from their tech pushing on it to check the struts. Oops! Need less to say Les schwab of Gig Harbor is a great place to get a tire patched. Please dont challenge their techs. They run from anything not out of the usual. |
