| A revieved a call a couple times from a man namked Mark. He said he was from the legal department of crime investigation and that there were serious alligations against me. He left voicemails with this information and his number. I answered the phone on the 3rd day he called. He told me that I needed to resolve this. When I said I had no idea what he was talking about he told me that the alliagations were banking fraud, theift by deseption, and something else that I could not understand(he was not american). He then preseded to talk about this and I could not understand him. I asked him to please tell me what company this was agaist and he said Payday cash. I have not had a payday loan in about 4 years, and it was paid off because my bank account was closed because they kept hacking it to take more money. I then asked his company and he said he was from the same company and went on the repeat everything he just said. This did not make any sence because 1, he first said he was from a federal company, and then said he was from this payday cash, and 2, if I was being accused of this the cops would have already came to my house. My husband recieve a call just like this 3 months before and found out it was scam when he called the number back and did research. I have changed my cell number since the payday loan so I do not understand how they got my new number. |

| I just received the same phone call. They wanted me to pay them $150 immediately or I was going to be arrested. I asked for a copy of this in writing to which they refused and said I needed to pay them or I would be going to court. Unfortunately for them I know you have to receive a certified copy of such delinquent behavior, to which I received non. They all had Arab or Indian accents and refused to give me any information regarding the company they worked for. |

| I just received the same type of phone call. I immediately suspected it was fraud since I NEVER dealt with Payday cash. I told them this and they said I needed to give them my lawyer's information. I told them I don't have a lwayer and would not be needing one since more and more this phone call is seeming like a scam. I then asked for a supervisor and was told that I was talking to one. I asked who I should contact since these claims are false and he said to give him a half an hour and he'd call me back. I continued to tell him how fake and unprofessional this all sounded, especially since he couldn't give me the information I asked for and kept trying to get off the phone. He then just hung up on me. When I called back (3 times) the phone went unanswered. I assume this was because they saw my number on the caller i.d. they told me they used to get my last name when I refused to tell them. So I blocked my number and called, and they answered and I told them that I knew this was fraud and I'd be reporting them. I also did a search on the phone number they had me call them back at and it was listed as a Pennsylvania number even though they told me their company was located in Texas. I am going to report this to consumer affairs and maybe even their local authorities. I encourage anyone else who receives these calls to do the same. |
