Lease Then Purchase- Brandon Bowers, Danielle Clark |

We were warned by everyone not to use a lease then purchase company. We were desperate though. Our family was quickly growing & we were running out of space in our townhome. We had put our home on the market 2 times in a 2 year period with no success. We asked everyone about Lease Then Purchase and NO ONE had good things to say about this type of company. Since we were desperate, we decided to go ahead & give it a try. Then we get a call from Danielle Clark. From the get-go she had a sleazy, car salesperson-type attitude. She never gave an honest answer. We tried to ignore her absolutely awful personality & just focus on selling the house. A few weeks into the program she called & said a woman wanted to move in ASAP. Danielle asked us to move out the next week. We told her we had to have a 30 day notice. She begged us for the date of that 30 day notice. She then stated that the woman was mailing the check & was signing a contract (which Danielle said was rare) when she flew in that weekend to look at our house. Well, Friday came & Danielle never called us to confirm the details about the woman seeing the house. We called Danielle several times & received no call back. I finally called her boss, Brandon Bowers. Brandon is just as awful as Danielle. Ugh. This company has terrible customer service too. Brandon basically told me I was over-reacting and he never knew Danielle to do the things I said. No apology- no attempt to solve the problem. I hung up with Brandon & my husband & I were re-thinking everything. About 5 minutes later, Danielle called me & said that she didn’t understand why I was calling so many times & why I had to call her boss. I, needless to say, went crazy on her. Danielle is almost as dumb as she is bad at sales. She stated that she never said that the woman would come to visit that weekend. I recapped all of conversations to prove that she was lying & she finally stated that she might have said something but the woman already committed to the next weekend. I told Danielle that everything sounded shady- Danielle herself & a woman that wants a house she’s never visited. I told Danielle we would have to confirm that Lease Then Purchase actually received a check before we confirmed a date. Danielle said that “tons of people buy houses that they never visit”. Monday came & I get a voicemail from Danielle that Lease Then Purchase had, in fact, received the check from the woman & Danielle was desperate to know if we would still move out of the house on the requested date. We decided to move forward. We terminated our child care contract & paid for an application fee on a rental house that we were going to move to. Then, the weekend that the woman was coming to visit comes & Friday night we get a call from Danielle & she states that she thinks the woman is backing out because she’s not returning Danielle’s voicemails. I ask Danielle about the check & if that woman gets the money back. Danielle then acted confused & said that the woman never mailed a check & then said “you must be confused- I never said that to you”. I called her out on her lie because I had a voicemail proving different. She just kept saying that it was our fault that we assumed the first homebuyer would actually go through. Danielle could’ve care less about us. We lost out on our excellent childcare because we terminated the contract & the spot filled. We also lost out on our money on the application fee. We definitely were stupid for thinking that it would work. But desperate people do desperate things. Danielle Clark is a terrible person & a liar. I just hope that enough people read this and NEVER EVER use Lease Then Purchase, or at the very least Danielle Clark. I have always tried to be nice to everyone but Danielle is just awful. You know those people that you hear them talk or meet them & they just make you go “Yuck”? Danielle Clark is one of these people. Yuck. |

Funny you say that. I have worked with Danielle and I had the best experience ever, she was very professional and everything she told me turned out to be true. |

This is Brandon Bowers from Lease then Purchase; I just came across this complaint and need to address it. We have been in business over 9 years and have helped hundreds of credit challenged people own their own homes while at the same time we help a seller find a way to sell their house when the open market is not working for them. If anyone reading this has any doubts about us, you can call me anytime at 817-991-5022 or email me at [email protected]. I will be happy to send you a very long list of references from both buyers and sellers we have helped.
As far as the unnamed person above goes I will not say anything negative about them. I am sure they are very nice people who perceived a situation different from the way it happened. Here is our side, Danielle listed this home and found an out of town buyer who applied for it. The seller approved of them and then the buyer lied to Danielle about many things. First of all, that she was flying down to look at the property and next that she mailed $1, 000 to us to hold it. I believe a miscommunication happed at this point as Danielle called the man and told him that a check was being mailed. Somehow they took that as that she was holding a check. The second that the check did not arrive, Danielle called them and let them know that she felt her buyer was flaking out. We gained nothing from this mishap as a matter of fact; we spent hundreds of dollars marketing this house and time showing it. Since this buyer lied to Danielle we lost the trust of the sellers and lost out of the whole deal. In my book in order to SCAM someone you would get something out of it. I also want to mention that Danielle is a fine lady and mother who is very sweet and cares about her clients. She was totally misrepresented in this complaint. In 2 years I have not gotten anything but positive feedback on her or any other of my sales reps. We started this business to help people. Had these unnamed sellers called me when they felt they were done wrong I would have done anything in my power to make it right. Some people would rather be nasty on websites than let a business owner know they had a problem. |
