Law Office of James Parker Threatening and harrasing phone calls San Diego, California |

For me, this whole scam goes back to July of 2009. However, this time around, I recieved a call at 7:00 in the morning while I was in the shower. When I noticed that I had a message on my home phone, I played it and a man with an Indian accent informed me that he needed my attorney's information because one of his clients was filing charges against me. He provided the phone number of 619-320-0434 and urged me to call back as soon as possible. When I returned the call, the man said he was from "The Law Office of James Parker" and that he needed my attorney's information because "a client" was filing charges against me for defaulting on a loan. The most disturbing thing about he call is that this guy had my social security number, my address, and knew alot about me. He said that if I did not resolve the matter they were going to "download the charges" to the police department in New Orleans and that they would also call my work. When I informed him that I know that the law doesn't work that way (I work for the state) he got very rude and started telling me that they were going to call the police. I then told the man that they had tried the same thing on me two years prior and that I had contacted the FBI, the Secret Service, and the social security administration. He immediatly hung up on me. I then called him back and told him "Hey, you just hung up on me." The guy actually started laughing and said "I hope you enjoy spending the weekend in jail." So, being that he had all this information on me, I again contacted the FBI, the Secret Service, The Social Security Adminstration, and the Federal Trade Commision. I actually called the FBI office here in New Orleans as well as in San Diego, where this guy claimed he was. I also placed a fraud alert with the three credit bureaus. In fact, when I called the FTC, as soon as I began to tell the representative what had happened, he stopped me and finished the story and told me that it was a very rampant problem. This scam is very scary mainly because whoever this is has so much personal information on the victims. I can only imagine how many people fall for this, and if I can help put a stop to these people, I would be thrilled. The number is still good, as I called the guy back and told him that it was a beautiful day and that I wasn't in jail, and the guy actually yelled "Go F*CK YOURSELF!" and hung up the phone. |

I have been getting very similar phone calls for the past two months. The foreign individual or individuals are stating that they are from the Harrison Law Office and are notifying me that a client has filed against my SS#. They are calling me at least 6 to 8 times a day and if I dont answer they leave a message with a different contact name each time telling me that if I dont respond to the message that they will have to send my file to court. At the end of each message they state that if I dont respond then the only thing they can tell me is Good Luck. I have contacted my local police dept in regards to the harrassing phone calls and was told to tell the caller that I have reported them and to not call my number again. After doing this, they are still calling. I am finding it hard to get them to stop calling becasuse they call me from a different number each time and sometimes an unlisted number. They argue with me on the phone stating that they are calling on behalf of the government and that they have the right to call. I am now getting calls from them at work. I am confused at how they got my information and when I confronted one caller about who he was calling on behalf of he wanted to transfer me to his supervisor. I cant seem to get these callers to stop calling my number. I have contacted my phone company but there is no proticol to help me get these numbers blocked. If anyone has any suggestions I welcome them. |
