I purchased a car from key auto sales in August 2008. Made my car payment on a regular basis, they never had to call an request payment for any reason. No default on payments period. I can remember exactly when, but I received a notice in the mail for something that the car dealearship was suppose to pay. I took the paperwork to them and brought it to their attention, and was told by Yolando, their receptionist at the time that it would be taken care of. A couple of weeks went by and I questioned them to find out if this had been taken care of. I was told no and that Tim's wife must have forgot about it and she would bring it to her attention. The bill has never been paid and not the secretary of state is calling me stating that I owe them money. Thats not the kicker.... I paid my car totally off in October of 2010 and have yet to receive the title to the car. When making my final payments, I was provided with an po box to send it to in melrose park. I sent letters along with the payment, requested return calls, and all they did was take my check to the bank and cash it. Today, I am stressed to the upmost because the secretary of state has sent me to a collection agency for a payment they never made. How can they do this! I am sure if my car was not paid off in full they would definately be at my door towing the car for non payment. The state of illinois seems to be grabbing money at any risk, no matter who is at fault. I dont know how to get my car title and definately dont feel I should be paying a bill that the dealership should have taken care of.
