Just Tires
Just Tires They really think you're stupid! baltimore, Maryland
11th of Nov, 2010 by User739538
I went to this location in early jan 2010 for a complete set of tires for my 2007 Infiniti G35x sedan. The actual purchase of the tires went fine and I was please with the price (about $900 for 4 tires) and I didn't have any problems...until it got cold outside.

When I went to Just Tires, I only had 1 out of the 4 of the little metal caps that you remove to put air in your tires (I had lost them over the years). When I got new tires the technician put new ones on (something I didn't notice until I tried taking them off recently to put air in my tires). November rolled around and my low tire pressure alarm lit up on my dashboard, I figured it was just due to the sudden drop in temperature so I wasn't surprised. When I went to the gas station and could not any of the 4 caps off my tires, I called the attendant for help and he couldn't get them off either. He was concerned about breaking the tire stem off if he kept trying, so I went to a nearby Infiniti dealership.

At Nationwide Infiniti I was tols that whoever put the caps on either put the wrong caps on my tires, on they put them on so tight that over time they formed a seal to the rod so tight that removing them would break the stem and damage the internal tire pressure monitor. When I asked how much it would cost to replace the part I was told they ran $180.00 a piece! I called Just Tires and explained the situation, where the manager Todd told me there's nothing he could do for me because his techs would never cause that kind of damage. I went to the store and spoke to Todd face to face who tried to take the caps off as well, then proceded to tell me how he sees this problem all the time, and that the issue is that the tire pressure monitor goes bad in newer cars all the time.

Really? In a 3 year old car? All four of them are going to simutaneously go bad? ALL FOUR? You coulda sold that story on one or two of them...but not all four!

I filed a complaint with the NTB people (who Just Tires is affiliated with) and was told by Kim in the complaints dept that there was nothing the company would do for me. When I asked for a copy of my file, she told me no...that they don't give out files, so I just hung up in frustration.

I'm so dissappointed in how they have absolutely no desire to rectify the situation that they created. They wouldn't even try to fix the problem with my tires or offer some compensation for what I'll have to pay the dealer. I had two different dealerships both say that although they can fix the problem, that I shouldn't have to. They both say that Just Tires should be responsible. These dealerships are in business to make money so the fact that they are adament about me getting my problem fixed elsewhere speaks volumes.

Don't get excited about the decent quote you'll get on tire from this place...they don't stand behind their work and make excuses to rip you off in the long run. STAY AWAY from this place!!!!!
