Just Flowers Unethical Business Tactics Los Angeles, California |

I ordered flowers for a funeral service that is today and about two hours ago I received a phone call advising me that they were unable to find roses. The vendor wanted to substitute roses for lillies in my $100.00 arrangement. I explained that I did not want a substitution for my roses and I was sure that most florist would have roses in stock especially for funerals. They informed me that they contacted the local florists and no one had roses. I explained that most reputable florist would certainly have roses and I was willing to contact the local florist if he could provide me with the name of the florist they were working with. He then went on to say that they they only worked with preferred florist but could not give me a name. I asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold for 22 minutes. I decided to go to their website and do a live chat only to be told no one had roses but they were offering a substitution so I should have been happy. While doing the live chat with them and asking several times for the name of their CEO to no avail (I was told he never takes call and cannot be reached) I was on the phone contacting a local florist at the same time. She was able to send roses and get my arrangement to the funeral home today and she also told me that her store refuses to do business with JustFlowers for many, many reasons. I immediately contacted American Express and advised them not to put this charge on my card, unfortunately they had already charged my credit card $110.46 but advised me that I could dispute the actual charge when I receive my statement. It is very disappointing to think that companies like this can continue to take advantage of their customers and get away with doing so. As a owner of a company I would encourage everybody to take advantage of the internet and let other consumers know before they purchase from a company like this one. I did tell them that I was going to let everyone I know about my experience only to be told we were willing to give you a substitution and what more would you want. I did ask the customer service representative that I spoke with earlier if your mother had died and her favorite flower were roses would you think it was acceptable to send lillies? Not only was I unable to understand their employees no one that I spoke with would provide the name of their CEO. |
