Jennifer Convertables/Leather Lifetime Leather Protection Plan not honored Forestville, Maryland

Black leather sectional purchased at Jennifer Convertables in 2002 and after being told that the lifetime warranty would be to my advantage because it protects us from any damages that may occur during the lifetime of the sofa. Thatwas what I thought to be a good idea. After less than a year a small section of the sectional began to peel and fade. When I called customer service to let them know what was going on, I was told that there was nothing they could do about it and that it was something that we did. All we did was sit on the sectional and the only part that was showing this damage was one of the cushions. After another few months, the cushion right next to it started showing the same damage. I called again and again I got the same response. We have delt with the peeling and fading in just those two cushions for years because we are not rich and can't afford to just toss this one aside. We bought leather in the first place because it is supposed to last.

Recently we had company and one of our guests had a pen in his pocket and it punctured the cushion. I have filed a claim online as directed when I called and have received no response. I have tried calling and have been on hold for over 30 minutes on more than one occassion and got disconnected. I am really frustrated because when I purchased the sectional I was told that everything was covered and that customer service was their number one priority...I have not at this point seen either. They have never honored the "Lifetime Warranty" and their customer service is non-existent.

If anyone out there is contemplated whether or not to purchase furniture from this company...don't do it. The furniture looks great but the quality is poor and as far as the customer service...it is horrible.
