| I took my 2001 Ford Excursion to J&S Diesel Services on Dean Martin Drive, Las Vegas, for a diagnosis and solution for a possible misfire / imbalance at 1000-1400 rpm. I explained to the receptionist, when in gear and held it at 1000-1400 rpm it is obvious, I asked her to have someone join me at my vehicle, I would demonstrate the issue that concerns me, she declined, stating my guys will find the problem. All of this began on Tuesday (8-30-11). Thursday (9-2-11) I received a call from James Martinez, the owner of J&S Diesel Services, where he states the main engine wire harness is bad. I asked if he was certain, as I just driven 976 miles without a problem. James Martinez @ J&S Diesel Services said there are some bad wires that I can try to repair but with no guarantees. James further stated, he had spread the wires apart, retested for the issue, and the miss was gone, the engine ran well. According to James Martinez @ J&S Diesel Services, the new harness including labor would cost $1800.00. I reiterated "if you are sure this will fix the issue, misfire / imbalance at 1000-1400 rpm, go ahead and replace the harness." I went to pick it up Tuesday (8-6-11) thrilled to have my vehicle back without the misfire / imbalance issue, to me like new. I started my vehicle, when I held the engine beginning at 1000 rpm, the misfire / imbalance issue was still there! I was perplexed, how could James Martinez feel the misfire / imbalance issue had been resolved when it was blatantly still present? The only thing the main wire harness could have resolved is an empty spot in James Martinez's wallet. I went inside and asked James Martinez @ J&S Diesel Services to observe as I demonstrate the issue concerning me, James looked angry and astonished I had the nerve to make such a request. I said James the problem is still there, the main engine wire harness did not fix the misfire / imbalance issue, as you ensured me it would, how the issue was gone with the wires spread. He stated it is me it is better than it was.(omg this guy is not only a dumb ass he is a liar) I explained to him I need my truck fixed, if you can't fix it just tell me, no hard feelings, I will take it to the dealer. "Well, I will look at it myself and call you." I agreed and said thank you, trying to avoid any grief or drama. On Friday (9-9-11) I called J&S Diesel Services for a status check, James Martinez tells me your truck is fixed come and pick it up, so I went to pick the truck up. James Martinez gave me the keys to go out and start it. WOW it is fixed, thank you so much James!!! (now for the best part) I went to pay the invoice for my truck he said he put new injectors in all 8 and my bill was $5187.00 us dollars oh shit from 1800.00 dollars to 5200.00 dollars with NO APPROVAL. I SAID I AM PAYING CASH CAN YOU GIVE ME A BREAK? The guy(James)flips out gets a forklift pulls it around and rams my truck,gets under my truck and breaks the transmission linkage. so i call the police. the police come try to talk to him he said we are closed.on monday 9-12-11 i call to see if i can pick the truck up. james said sure i took all my parts out and put your parts in the back.(and that he did) parts everywhere,bolts in the engine and thrown all over(this from a grown man?)this company should be shut down.we will see what the courts have to say. |
