On March 3, 2011 I received a call from Resort Solutions Specialist inquiring about my timeshare that is advertised for sale. The call came from a Craig Sharp at 702-979-3938 ext 315. I was informed there was a European buyer for my timeshare pointspu Point Resort (Diamond Resorts) in Kauai, HI. Despite my concerns and hesitations the call seemed to be ligitimate and I was informed of closing costs and confimation numbers: $2,300 deposit and closing costs of $2,1150 would be paid by the buyer. I was informed that I would receive periodic updates during the title search and a checklist and the cost to me would be $1,850. Before I had time to ask any more questions I was transfered to a third party for verification - a Chris Johnson of ITM Solutions. We discussed the maintenance fees of my timeshare etc... I was then given a confirmation code. Then I was iformed the document for the sale and my fee would be taken today and someone would call me with the information. At this point I became very hesitant and called back Craig Sharp several times leaving voice messages. Finally I received a call from Mathew Barnes, Quality Assurance Manager at ITM Solutions and we had a long conversation about the process and he he settled my unease. I then received the email and document for signing electronically. I was walked through this process and I do have a hard copy of this document. I proceeded to provide payment of $1,850 US Dollars as I was satisfied with what I read and heard. Approximately one week later on March 9, 2011 I receive a call from Leo Jimerson of ITM Solutions 888-873-9009 ext # 101 to advise they had begun the title search propose and he would call me the following week. He did not call me the following week and I followed up with him on March 16th and was advised it could take up to 30 days to receive the title. I waited until April 9th and called again after not hearing anything and left a voice message for Leo Jimerson which was never returned. On April 14th I called the Quality Assurance Manager - Matthew Barnes and left a voice message which was not returned. I called again May 4th and only got his voice mail.... I also contacted Leo Jimerson at the 888-873-9009 number and get a general company voice recording which concerned me. On May 5th I did receive a return call which I believe was from Mathew Barnes and the voice message I still have states that my timeshare had been presented to my timeshare company Diamond Resorts for first refusal. I have not heard anything since or received any documentation or money from this company and I am unable to contact anyone. It is now beyond the 90 days promised to settle this title transfer. |
