ista, jacksonville name appear on utility bill. This company is clearly involved into fraudulent activities by eliminating online free payment option and forcing customers to send physical checks through stamped mails. I sent them check twice and they say they did not receive either. I called and explained them that customers are at a loss when you went backward by eliminating free recurring payment option but the customer service said WE CANNOT REMOVE THOSE CHARGES. It was unbelievable to hear this in America. I hope these people get enough complains and eventually go out of business. Not to mention that they have been giving me 50 dollar bill each month for just two of us in the apartment for trash and water. OUTRAGEOUS! |

You are absolutely correct in saying Ista is Not a reputable company. They install meters, stating that the readings are done electronically and data (water usage) can be read at there location. I to am a household of 2. One adult & a child, who is off site every other weekend. Sometimes longer, depending on the season. Ever since receiving a bill stating that we, family of 2, used over 10, 000 gallons of water in 28 days I began keeping a daily ledger of use. I suggest u do the same. I now have months of data, as back up. I'm sure that u have guessed by now that next steps will be brought to the attention of the city I live in. I will keep those interested updated. As for now, keep a daily ledger recording Ur meter readings. I suggest recording morning & night. Believe me when I tell you, that this Will be resolved. |

Hi All,
I live in Irvine, CA.
Any city that outsources their utility bills to ISTA should be embarrassed.
ISTA has the worst customer service and also charges $3.50 fee to pay online!!!
They have a website from the 80's.
They also charge late fee of $5 if you do not send your payment about 3 days after you receive your bill in the mail!
But they definitely give good kickbacks to the Mayors who hire them! |
