To start off. I have an unsettled repossessoin for a 2007 Corolla, which is unresolved as of this time. My wife is attempting to purchase a Rav4 through the lease buyout offered at the termination of her lease. My wife contacted Toyota Financial Services and was given a contact name at IRA Toyota of Manchester. She then emailed IRA Toyota of Manchester requesting an appointment to discuss the lease buyout. An individual contacted us, and we emphatically told this person, we are only interested in purchasing the Rav4 at the end of our lease. We were given an appointment and came to the sales room at the appointed time. At that point a "sales floor manager directed us to a salesman. Upon sitting down with the salesman, we once again stated that all we wanted to do was complete the lease contract by purcchasing the Rav4 at the buy out price stated in the leasing contract, which is $10,185.00. We explained that there was repossession issue against me for 2007 Toyota Corolla (purchased at IRA as well). He offered to sell us a new vehicle, we refused. We insisted on buying the Rav4 at the end of it's lease. He then asked us to fill out a credit application, which we did. Upon reviewing the credit application the salesman confirmed the repossession issue. He then said Toyota Financial would not loan us the monies to buyout the Rav4, at $10,185. But, we would be able to finance a brand new Rav4, for $520.00 per month. It's incredible to think that IRA was willing to stick us with a $520.00 per month bill even with an open repossession against us. I dont know if their "tactics" are illegal, but my wife and I will not have anymore dealings with IRA Toyota of Manchester, NH. We have found a means of obtaining the monies to purchase the vehicle, we went to Toyota of Nashua and asked if they would honor the lease buyout. They said for a fee of $349.00 they will do the paper work to allow us to purchase the vehicle. So long IRA. |
