When this company contacted us around August of 2010 to exhibit with them in their upcoming show in Dec 2010, they told us that we were the only vendor selling that particular product and they might have up to 3 vendors selling the same product. They told us that if we signed up 3 additional booths than what we were previously planning to, they can grant us exclusivity and we would be the only one doing that product at the show. We agreed and their sales rep sent us a signed & stamped contract to that effect. When we finally reached the show on setup day, we were surprised to find that there were 2 more vendors selling the same product as ours and when we confronted the Michael, the owner of International Exhibitors, after a lengthy argument, he made us believe that it was a mistake and that he would provide a refund if the show did not meet our expectations. We later found out during the show that a large number of exhibitors had been promised similar exclusivity and their contracts had been breached too. There was a lot of commotion and the cops were called when the exhibitors threatened to close down the show and asked for an imediate refund. This went on all the three days of the show and on the last day, the organizers disappeared before the end of the show. I have heard that there have been multiple lawsuits against the organizers and some of their sales reps later met us and told us that they too had been fooled into working for this company and were surprised when Michael told them to keep delaying the referral payments due to many exhibitors. I won't be surprised if these cheats declare bankruptcy, disappear for a few months and resurface again under a new name and a new show. Can anyone help us recover our hard earned money?
