Inceptive Solutions Inc Inceptive Grants They steal your business idea with promise of up to $75,000 then they give out only much smaller amounts. Int |

I submitted my business plan with personal information and other confidential documents to this company several months ago and have not received any response. The deadline for applying for their grant of up to $75,000 was late September, then it became early October. More than two months later there is no response on who got the grant or if it was even given out. Their website shows much smaller amounts have been given out but this seems mostly a front to sell business plans and websites. Where is the $75,000 grant or even close to this amount? Now I see other scam reports on the internet about unreceptive or deceptive solutions. Inceptive Solutions is another name the crooks operate under. I visited their office location. There is nothing listed under the company name on the directory downstairs and the door to what was supposed to be their suite was locked during the business day. There is no name out front or indication they operate here. Beware of sending this company your confidential information or ever sending them any money. |

@User825470
It is shocking to read such a post about my company knowing that one of our Senior Business Consultants had given you a call and spoken to you directly about this matter. Inceptive Solutions does not need to steal yours or any other business idea that we receive. We have absolutely no intentions of starting a 'new business' and will remain in the direction which we have been going which is to help as many entrepreneurs through our grant program.
As you mentioned, we have awarded grants in the recent six months. However, if you took a closer look at our website, you will notice those grants/awards were given out at events (StartUp Weekend Hamilton & Oakville Mompreneur Showcase) which we sponsored. Those specific events which are mentioned are very public events even being mentioned in local newspapers such as SNAP Oakville and Hamilton Spectator (http://www.inceptivesolutions.com/about-us/in-the-news/). If you take even a closer look, you will also notice we have sponsored other upcoming events similar to the ones posted on our website and will continue to post those on our website. The amounts you are speaking about were all pre-announced prior to the events via press release and shouldn’t be a shock to anyone that the amounts are low. The grants listed are not the amounts awarded to our finalists which we have made pretty clear by posting the logo of the event above the winner listings.
Since the beginning of this process, we have done everything to make this as open to everyone as possible. I am sure you also noticed that we announced our finalists at StartUp Weekend Hamilton which took place at McMaster University. The pictures are posted on our website and available for you to view. Every step we have taken has been transparent and open to the public rather that's attending the events where we announce our finalists or visiting the events where we have awarded grants. Everything is pre-announced via press releases on our website and social media (@inceptivesolu).
Regarding the amount of money we give out, as mentioned in our FAQs (http://www.inceptivegrants.com/?q=faq), the amount is solely dependent on our revenue. As a company, we are taking money out of our own pockets to help others in starting or growing their business. So in agreement, the grant amount can be less then the $75, 000 which is very clear on our website. We never advertise the amount will be exactly $75, 000.
You are also correct in stating that our company sells business plans and websites as that is how we fund our grant. We also have another revenue generating website such as InceptiveFunding.com to help connect entrepreneurs with investors. We are also considering launching our own incubator in our office shortly and helping them launch their businesses. From Inceptive Solutions, Inceptive Grants, InceptiveFunding.com and our upcoming incubator, you can determine on your own that 'stealing' one's idea hasn't even crossed our mind nor will it ever. All four of our divisions is built around one idea in mind, to help entrepreneurs grow or start their companies and become successful.
About our office, you are correct as well in saying that we were probably closed for the holiday season. The reason why our name is not listed in the lobby directory or on the front of our door is because we only subleased the office space for 13 months. Inceptive Solutions will be making a decision relating to the future location of our office shortly but until then, we welcome you to visit us once again during regular office hours. As a start-up ourselves, we made the decision to rent a sublease to see how our first year of business goes before committing to a long term lease.
Lastly, to answer any additional concerns which you may have, I welcome you to visit our Inceptive Grants Partners webpage (http://www.inceptivegrants.com/?q=partners). From there, you will notice we work with several start-up communities such as StartUp Weekend and Mom Ventures along with universities such as Ryerson University and Wilfred Laurier University. Not only does Inceptive Solutions help entrepreneurs but future entrepreneurs as well through our partnerships. If you visit their websites, you will notice our logo on each of them which should answer your concerns about us.
I truly hope this answers your concerns about our company. We welcome your response on this website or via email at [email protected].
