In a recent move in Texas we received a call from Chris Booth. In search of a moving company, somehow Chris got my phone number and offered his services to assist with the move. He was very friendly and seemed to be reliable and honest. He sahred that he had a website where we could verify his company and that he was a licensed business that offered FULL protection and insurance on our property. My previously hired moving company [Boss Moving - Dallas, Texas] failed to show up for the job, so I called Chris back and arranged to have 3 movers come assist in moving my belongings.
Concerned about my belongings I made the wise decision not to label any of the boxes. It was a small move so I figured it would be easy to open boxes and determine where they should go. I am glad I did so because I did not want the movers knowing what was in the boxes they were moving.
To my surprise the 3 movers showed up on time and were very fast in getting items loaded and into the truck to prepare the move to my new apartment. I made sure to tape all of the drawers to my nightstands [that go in the master bedroom], as well as the armoire drawers - because I still had a few items in the drawers. HUGE mistake.
Upon arriving to the apartment I began putting a few large items away, directing two of the three movers on where I wanted my furniture when I heard a noise in the bedroom. When I went in, I noticed the third mover putting items into my night stand drawer. I asked him what he was doing and why he opened the drawer, he explained that he thought some items were falling out of the back of the nightstand and he was just putting them back in. My fiance came into the room and assisted him in putting the few pens and items back into the drawer, re-taped it, and asked him to finish the job.
Sadly almost 5 days later I went to set up the master bedroom and begin unboxing clothes and accessories when I noticed my Nintendo DS Lite, all of the accessories and 8 games were gone. I cried very hard for almost an hour. How could this happen? I had been so careful and tried to protect myself. I trusted Chris to bring these people into my home and assist me in a move that should have gone without a hitch. They stole something very important to me. It was a graduation gift from acheiving my Masters Degree not more than 9 months ago! Now it was gone. Game systems are much like computers in that all of my saved game play was also gone! I cannot replace any of it.
I won't allow this to happen anyone else. PLEASE do not use Chris Booth or DFWMOVEMASTERS.com services! He is a liar and a crook. This theft occured on April 24, 2010. I called Chris immedietly to discuss how I could recover my property or be compensated. He never returned not one call. I believe he knows what his movers did. They are all thieves.
I refuse to let this go. I gave Chris 48 hours to respond to my phone messages, of course he did not. I called the police and filed a police report for my missing property. It is recorded with the Prosper Police Department in Prosper, TX - Report#: 10002471. Chris does not have to answer my calls, however I now have his personal information [including his home address thank you to the internet], so as advised by the police I am filing this week a civil suit against Chris for my personal property and fraud. It is WORTH the filing fee. I won't let him get away with this, I will get justice through the courts.
In addition Chris will answer to God. How dare you take advantage of your position as a business owner to commit theft and fraud! See you in court Chris! I hope there are others that will stand up and do the same.
