Impact Resource Group Pay for your own gas, work on your own time Irving, Texas |

I write this anonymously as I am currently employed with this company. Where do I start? Wow, this company is sure tricky in how it operates. Paychecks that cannot be understood, the amount of time and gas that comes out of your own pocket and asinine scheduling system. They will email you with work daily about your jobs location for the next day. So you will know in the evening daily what you’re doing the next day. Forget scheduling appointments for a few weeks ahead, it can't be done. You're basically on call having no way to plan let's say a doctor appointment. You'll be sent 70 miles away from home to put together a desk you're getting paid 15 dollars for that takes 3 hours to put together not being compensated for gas or time driving. Starting out you have very little training going into stores. So if you go in and take longer than expected on work managers will assume you're incompetent right off the bat, when in actuality you just haven't been shown how to do your job fully. Then they completely low ball their assembly times. Everything takes over what is actually paid. I just put together 2 executive desks and file cabinet in customer’s home. Pay was for 6 hours, took 9 hours. To be clear I know what I'm doing and building to build correctly. They think it's some sort of race to finish so quickly on everything. This company screws you over plain and simple. Their so called piece rate is just a way to get around not paying you legal hourly wage. The only way you actually make money is to work on hourly rate as it is set high, but most work isn’t. The amount of gas used comes out of your own pocket, 30 cents a mile AFTER 90 miles. So let’s say you go round trip 140 miles, you only get reimbursed for 50 miles with no pay for time driving. I have checked my email with job assignments where they schedule you for work that is impossible through a time aspect to be done. They will send you to assignments that have a mandatory time you need to be there. When adding up in between business hours and time to commute back and forth it cannot be physically done. Then they will call you and ask why everything wasn’t done. If you have a question about something it used to be you could just call your service coordinator’s direct phone number. Well now they just implemented a new contact center you call instead, where on multiple occasions I've been on hold for 45 minutes. This all comes from YOUR cell phone minutes because the crappy phone they give you won't allow calls out. So when you have to call a customer to go to their private residence you're also not only using your own cell minutes for a work call, these people know your personal phone number. Even though the service coordinators set up the appointment, you still have to call these people and arrange a time. They only set a generic time of (example) 8-12 , so now you’re suddenly a secretary on your own time. I think I could go on but that's probably enough information on why not to work for this company. DO NOT go to work for this company you will be royally screwed.
