Darrell Reed and company at Imagebrite are a slick group of con artists that have been taking advantage unsuspecting business owners since March of '09. The service they are selling is "sign refinishing/ refacing". It is a new industry in the sign business that not many business owners are familiar with. This business niche was originally created in 1991 by Mike Pagano founder of Global Sign Restoration, Inc., in Florida. Reed who has no knowledge or experience in the sign business scammed Pagano by pretending to be a wannabe partner / investor, signing NDA's non-comps, etc. When Pagano realized Reed was never intending to invest, but attempting to steal the business, he sent a cease and desist to all parties involved and canceled the unclosed deal. Reed stole everything from Global Sign Restoration, including photos, website content, business plans and marketing materials and even client lists of Global Sign Restoration then called them his own. He then immediately formed Imagebrite and claimed to have 19 years in the business and then found a person named Ian Browning to be the bogus founder. Reed carefully attempts to keep his name off the grid because he has a bad reputation from his previous company, Vyne Industries that sold surveillance systems to businesses around the country. He sold Vyne to Westec Surveillance in March of '09 where he was retained as VP of National Accounts but was fired shortly thereafter. Reed has no moral compass, neither does the group of people that follow him company to company.
They BS business owners by pretending to be experienced and knowledable then his salespeople call customers again and again to the point of stalking. Be very cautious if contacted by Reed or reps of Imagebrite, and don't ever give them any money upfront!
They are bad news. A complaint has been logged on the IC3 complaint system, and there have also been discussions with a member of the FBI regarding Reed's criminal actions.
