IFriends Deliberately misleading, withdrew money without knowledge or consent Internet |

I recently joined IFrineds on what i was led to believe was a free account. The site requested that i give my card details for proof of age which i was happy to do as they seemed to be legitimate. I logged into the site and began to chat with one of the girls, completely unaware that i was being charged, there was no warning on any mouse click that this would happen. I have had over £432.31 removed from my account. The only transaction i was aware that would be taking place was the £1.90 they remove and then return for verifying your age. The site is deliberately misleading and charges your account at the click of a button with no warning. I sent several emails to the site questioning these withdrawls and was told it was for my time spent chatting to a cam model, in what i was led to believe was a free preview section. I was told that i would be given 50% courtesy credits and that my account had been cancelled...I replied to this email saying this was unsatisfactory and i would appreciate a full refund to my bank account. They replied, "We will issue courtesy credits for the charges billed."... to an account they have cancelled. I find the whole system to be completely dishonest and the fact that firstly they offer me a 50% reimbursement in their own currency a complete joke but they then cancel my account. If i had wanted to spend money on the site i would have bought some of their virtual dollars in order that i could monitor what i was spending. Surely the point of having an online wallet is for such a reason?! The fact that they removed this money from my account is purely theft, if i had been aware of the huge charges i was racking up i would have not registered with the site at all, since there are dozens if not hundreds of similar sites that do not charge for the "service" i recieved. |
