I have historically filed a report with scam but for some reason it is not now showing up. Leah Winkler (aka Leanna Winkler, Lea Winkler) as well as her husband Harold Winkler and the most dishonest, nasty, rude individuals the dog world has to offer right now. She bought a puppy from me, then forged my name to the AKC papers to get a full registration, created a false contract. After buying and obtaining her puppy from me she started demanding I release her to a full registration - when I refused she would call me in the middle of the night - screaming and calling me every filthy name in the book and tell me she was beating the F___ out of the puppy. She also sent me two e-mails telling me she was beating the puppy. She then turned around and bred the girl at 13 months of age WITH NO CLEARANCES. I got the AKC registration reversed before the puppies were born and she ended up lying to people and telling them she had AKC papers on the pups (which was a lie). She is nothing but a PUPPY MILL. If you buy a puppy from her or worse yet if you sell a puppy to her - do some investigation or I assure you that you will be sorry. I can give you numerous individuals to contact about her behavior - taking deposits on puppies and never shipping them - taking deposits and then when things turn ugly she won't return the deposits - she has warrants out for her arrest for Assault & Battery in Newport Beach, CA. I can provide proof of everything contained in this report. If you would like to see the documentation, contact me and I will be HAPPY to forward it to you. Don't put your puppy through what I am afraid mine went through. I can also supply you with her picture - which I have had confirmed is her via not only mug shots from arrest records but the Hickory, North Carolina police department have confirmed her identity. She has operated under numerous kennel names - Desert Sun Goldens, Snowy Paws Goldens and her latest as of Feb. 2011 is English Creme Goldens. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this puppy mill.
