I've been onto Spread Peace Reno for almost a year. I'm not sure I can fit it all on here, but here I go. They were not a registered non-profit when they started in 2008. They expedited their paperwork in March of 2010. Spread peace Foundation was registered one week prior. Chris Tinney has a huge audience within the online community and will say or do anything for more exposure. He did this to our homeless residents just to try and boost donations. He also used the so-called "church" money for his own personal use. He partnered up with the Northern Nevada Food Bank just to increase his exposure to the online community. Though, in the end, we found out he didn't pay that bill either. When Pastor Ron ( a co-founder and board member) exposed the mis-use of funds, he was instantly fired from the board. Chris Tinney tried to cover up and make excuses for the usage and offered a few bank statements. What we came to realize after I investigated, is that Chris had been using "church" funds for personal use the whole time. I say "church" because they do NOT meet the requirements of a church. They have recently removed links, pictures, videos, etc from all of the websites. Peace Pals donated money also. They used these funds to do outrages growth steps and still burned every bridge they built in order to grow his personal MLM businesses. No one has actually seen the IRS statement authorizing an EIN but they have been using the number since 2009. A police report has been filed by Pastor Ron also. Articles have been written to let others know that they are just one big HYPE looking to go nationwide. The Spread Peace Cafe was financially done by Randy Tam. Randy also paid the rent of the Spread Peace Reno drop-off center for months as Pastor Ron paid the rent on the "Peace House". Can you imagine the money these people poured into Spread peace Reno so the Tinney's can live for nothing. The Spread Peace Cafe advertisied for months about their "buy a meal and a homeless persona get a meal for free" This also NEVER happened. It was just Chris' way to advertise for more exposure. The Spread Peace Cafe was also suppose to donate 2% of the gross earning but only did that once or twice. Seems everything with all these folks is just more lies. Chris Tinney runs over 50 sites and links them all together. After the garbage they pulled in Reno, Nevada, they bailed down to Las Vegas and have a Spread Peace Las Vegas page. I would suggest that anyone who deals with them looks into the Reno episodes before getting involved. I do have physical proof of all that is stated if needed. They have threatened me with slander and criminal libel suits too. They are a registered non-profit and the public has the RIGHT to see all thier documentation. Their meeting minutes also do NOT reflect anything the Chris did in leaps and bounds. He only seems to care about what he wants and this is why all his board members keep quiting. Here a great too! is another one. Chris Tinney was also looking into a TV show and going nationwide with a Peace Pal card. His religion of "kindness" is a wicked circle of deceit! |
