Hertz I was lied to by Hertz and It costed Me more then just money Minneapolis, Minnesota |

I rented a vehicle from Hertz,A Nissan Altima.at the time I rented the car I was told by the service person at the desk that if I buy gas from them when I returned the vehicle that it would be cheeper, and at the time I did return the car I was also told by the person that checked the car in that the gas would only be 2.29 a gal. then I was told that my totel bill for the rental would be 511.00.But when I went to balance my bankbook I found that Hertz had billed my checking account 634.86.A differance of 123.86.And because they chose not to tell me of this charge at the time my bank account is now overdrawn. And the bank charged an additional fee of 37.00 for that overdraft. When I called Hertz about the Charges (after a couple of dozen calls to talk to them) The first two calls I was met with very rude staff and was hung up on both times.and when I finely got to talk to someone they told me that I was paying for the gas at 9.29 a gal.And after explaining that it was there service person had told me about buy gas cheeper from them they did agree to reimburse me 107.00 but I would not get this back for at least a week. And they would not cover the overdraft that they had caused my checking account. And to Make matters worse.I am disabled and had planned on getting a Service Dog.And needed a small loan.To cover the up front cost of getting the dog.But because of the overdraft the bank declined the loan.Had Hertz told me the truth about the charges in the first place I would had the funds in place to cover the charges and avoided the overdraft. If a fine restuarant would have treated me like this I would have gotten a full refund. I feel like Hertz treated me unfairly and lied to me.And because of this I've lost a lot more then just money.I sure Hope Hertz is real proud of them selves for that. So Hertz whats next stealing candy from little kids? |
