On August 5, 2011, I took my Corvette into Henry Brown Automotive in Casa Grande for brake repairs. That was the ONLY problem with the car (the engine showed no signs of any problems). The following Monday, August 8th, they contacted me to update the situation on the work being done. It was then I was notified of another problem. We discussed the new problem and they asked my permission to run a new test to see how serious the problem was. On August 9th, they called me again and I was given three options and prices for taking care of the new problem. I really couldnt afford any of those options. On August 11th I was told my brakes were finished and I could come to pick up the car. Picking up the car, I found the engine was running so horribly that I turned around and took the car right back to the dealership. The body was shaking, the engine was barely running, I had to put it in neutral at the traffic light to keep it from dying, etc. They told me that it was all caused by that new problem they had found. I felt that the car was too dangerous to drive, so I talked to the General Manager, Clinton. I informed them that I would not drive the car off the lot until it was running as good, or better than when I FIRST brought it in to have the brakes repaired. I left the car there, and they did get me a vehicle on loan until I could get mine back. On Friday, August 12th, they called to tell me my car was ready to go. When I arrived, I found the car to be in the same miserable shape as when I brought it back to the lot. It seemed nothing had been done. Just prior to bringing the car in to get the brakes fixed, I had filled the tank with gas and had washed it. When I came to pick it up, the gas gauge registered quite a bit of it having been used. On top of everything else, my car was filthy with grease, dust and dirt. There was grease on my doors, on my hood and the window was so dirty that I could barely see out. My radio wouldnt play because someone had been sitting in my car playing with all the buttons. They talked to me like I would believe all the engine problems happened while having my brakes fixed. I drove the car off the lot, as I did not trust them to not start charging me rent, or having it towed away. This company is totally lacking in any sort of professionalism. Currently, I have no means of transportation. |
