Heinrich Chevrolet a miserable experience in my opinion. I made the mistake of stopping at Heinrich's on Transit Rd. in Lockport, NY to look at a new Silverado even though a swore that I never would deal with them again. The reason swore that I would not go back was they put on my service report that “CUSTOMER REFUSED SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.” Two errors (LIES) because it was not due for anything and more important was the fact thatI was never asked. The truck was towed in and he did not talk call for any additional info after I told him it was dead in my garage. After I complained by e-mail & over the phone, everybody was saying it was an error on the service reps part. BS because it was towed in again a few days later & when I got the service report they did it again. It is just a way to void your warranty if there is a major problem because they have it on record that scheduled maintenance was not done. They never sent anything in writing to clear it up either. What has me irritated beyond belief is when I was dumb enough to see if they wanted to make a deal on a new truck because the salesman called me twice & said that he would make everything right. BS. I stopped & told him that I did not even know why I was checking with him because I had 2 great offers already & just had to decide which to take. He swore that he would beat both. After 30 minutes, he finally showed his “great offer.” several thousand dollars more than the other two. I told him that he was crazy & started to leave. He followed me out the door & told me that if I could prove the offers that he would beat it by $500. He told me to go sign a contract to buy one & bring back the contract & he would beat it by $500. I said to put the $500 offer in writing. He said that he would but then changed refused. So, I decided to call his bluff. He got into the truck and I called the other Chevy dealer down the road 8 miles on the blue tooth speaker in my truck. I asked the salesman to give me the prices again because I misplaced them. He did & Heinrich's salesman clearly heard it. So I said, match it plus $500. Needless to say, they refused. The manager inside would not even discuss it. The salesman started coming up with all kinds of bull sh* about it. All of the trucks involved were within a couple hundred dollars which is nothing on a $39,500 sticker. I had no intentions of dealing with them once they had asked me to sign a contract with a guy then screw him out of the sale a couple hours later. Just because they have a low standard on their promises that does not mean that I am going to lower myself to his standards. He kept saying it is OK every body does it. This is not the first time they pulled this kind of stunt. Last year, when my wife went to buy a car she brought home all of their numbers. When I went over them I found a mistake in their math. So I called to verify everything at 4:30 Saturday just prior to closing. He agreed with the figures and the corrected quote. However, when she showed up to get it everything was “lost” & nobody knew a thing. He was not even on the property as he told us. The manager was the only one there to help her. It might be because I corrected the math for them where they made a $3000 subtraction error on the price. It was agreed on Saturday that we were correct so come pick it up on Monday. How did all copies of the offer get lost between closing on Saturday & opening on Monday? Why was he not there after making the appointment? As it turned out we were lucky because we ordered a NEW car that had better options for less and it was factory new not a end of prior year left over. Of course this is just my opinion but STAY AWAY FROM THEM drive 8 miles south on Transit for a great deal from Dennis & Mike. |
