On October 7, 2010 I was in an automobile accident. On 08/11/2010 I purchased a 1998 mint condidtion Honda Civic from HB Autosales and Garage for the price of 1995.00. I called Ronald Barnes of HB Autosales and Garage and made him aware that I had been in an automobile accident because, we did a 30 days same as cash deal. I made a down payment of 800.00 on 08/11/2010, with a balance due of 1195.00. Mean While the after I made the down payment, the was not drivable until sometime late September, the car also had not been properly titled, nor inspected; I made numerous attempts to contact Ronald Barnes regarding this he never returned my calls until after he found out about the accident. Ronald Barnes sent a letter of Guarntee to Allstate Insurance Agency for 3695.00; He gave me the orginal financing Contract for 1995.00 along with the title, POA to take to NCDMV to get tags; and gave the DMV inspector a bill of sale for 4400.00 for a 1998 Honda Civic. I viewed a copy of all the documentation that was sent to each agency and after reveiwing the documentation I noticed a notary stamp that belong to Dinah Stevey. I have never appeared before Dinah Stevey. After this I took action, I contacted the Secretary of States Offices and filed a complaint against the notary. Beverly(919-807-2105) from the NC Secretary of State's office verified that the signature on the documenation did not belong to Dinah Stevey. I contacted the the NCDMV inspector Daniels regarding my previously filed complaint with their office. Inspector Daniels is still in the process of investigating my complaint.(252-977-2501). I am filing a complaint with your agency today in hopes that my suffering will prevent someone else from buying a vehicle from HB Autosales & Garage. |
