| Charged for movie tickets, didn't get the confirmation code in time. Fraudulent company |

| I ordered 4 movie tickets from half cost tix/ www.halfcostmovies.com. They said they'd send me a confirmation number for the tickets an hour before the movie. 50 minutes before the movie, I received no confirmation code. I emailed them and they emailed back for me to wait. I waited and 20 minutes before the movie, I was send the confirmation code. This was not sent within the promised time. As I searched around on the internet, I realized I'd been scammed and this is a company based in Sweden that charges you half price for your tickets and then charges the full price tickets for someone else to your credit card. As this just happened within the last hour, I do not know the result of how much was pulled out of my bank account or if my identity has been stolen. I emailed requesting a refund, but was met with no response and am doubtful I will get one. I'm not sure if there is any recourse in this situation. |

| Beware of this company. EVERYTHING About it is shady and it is obvious by the bad English writing on their web site, that this isn't a company based in the US. |

| So you did get your confirmation code...So you paid half price for the tickets and recieved them. At what point did you get scammed? can you advise if your identity had been stolen or cc used in unauthorized transactions? I see the site has been taken down by the gov. however I couldn't find any information (not provided by random internet users) to corroborate the "using other peoples cards" statement. I have used halfcosttix over 10 times since 2011 and have never had an issue. Yes, at times my confirmation number took too long to arrive but I always received it prior to the show opening and my cc information has never been shared. Im not sure why you would expect a refund when you got your confirm number. The ticket was boought and paid for and your only issue is they sent the confirmation number 20 min before the movie?!?!? cry me a river. I'm not saying they're saints but i'm still trying to decipher why people are saying they are a scam... |

| @Chinkydiamond...look at the emails that were on your confirmation page. They are gibberish. Also, do you really believe that a reputable company would have their customer support contact @gmail.com? Believe me when I say that in the fact that you purchase from them, you promote fraudulent activity. Take it from someone that worked for Fandango. (which is where they supposedly get their tickets) The most likely reason that it took so long to provide your confirmation number Ribbit is whomever was behind the scenes working on getting the tickets was attempting to use multiple identities and stolen credit cards until they were successful in getting the tickets. Trust me. Someone reported fraud and I discovered 55 transactions under 1 credit card in the amount of $11, 000 made in a 2 day span for theaters across the country. When I asked if that person ever purchased discount tickets, they responded that they purchased tickets from Fandango's affiliate...halfcosttix. Those 10 times that you successfully used their service caused a severe headache to the person that found that they were ripped off. Also we didn't catch the purchases in time...otherwise your tickets would have been destroyed at the theater before you got there. You should really pull your head out of your arse unless you are a part of that scam because if its too good to be true...it probably is. |
