H1Base.com is Scam
13th of Jan, 2012 by H1B-Visa-Fraud
I am the victim of H1base.com's scam and fraud. I wished I had searched the Internet before paying H1Base for the so called premium plus services.

I had paid for h1base two schemes pro smart which is claimed by them as Green Card sponsoring companies and the general H1B visa scheme though my user name and password is activated, it is now almost 4 years, not a SINGLE response I got from them!

They had given me a list of companies H1B which according to them, they have circulated the CV, so far no one has contacted. When you intend to purchase false offer from h1base.com, all false promises is written under benefits offered column, that your CV will go directly to the hiring managers attention and they will contact the candidates. AND MORE OVER they claim that we have to pay only once, and till we get a confirmed offer from US companies, they will give us guaranteed service.

They have designed H1base.com with full of information in such a way, that it looks very realistic and trustworthy but in real they are fraud.

ABSOLUTE LIES.

I WOULD SUGGEST NEVER TRUST THIS SITE H1 BASE AS IS INDEED 100% FRAUD.

H1Base Inc. H1Base.com is a SCAM, RIPP OFF, & EXPLOITS! Saint Petersburg Florida

At first it seems so real, legitimate and i was excited about getting an H1 B sponsor employer or possibly a greencard through employment.

I paid for two services a "Marketing Package" and a "Greencard Gurantee".

Well need i saw that its been over two years and i am still waiting... First of all they send you a list of company that numbers are disconnected, and employees no longer works there.

Thats all you get a list of companies that seems as though they were just drafted using a directory. Please do not be fool H1 Base does not aggressivley seeks sponsor for you like other employment agency do that collects your money.

I was surprise that so many other students have been scammed and they are still in business. They are just a sophisticated organization that preys on vulnerable international workers who are seeking better opportunities in America.

Just imagine the thousands of people that sings up with them on a yearly basis and never received a valid job offer?

If every dissatisfied person report them to Fair Trading Commission (FTC) or Better Business Bureau or some other watch dog group it would really shed some light on this unscrepulous organization that exploits and preys on foreign workers!!

H1base is indeed a big scam! St Petersburg, Florida

This is to support the report filed by Sgp141011 of Spartanburg, South Carolina. I too was victim of h1base.com. Like most of their subscribers, I was lured into signing up for their service because of the very good marketing banner in their website. Much to my dismay, from the date I subscribed to their "alleged" service - I say alleged because there was no service at all to start with, to this day I have yet to receive an email or call coming from the list of corporations they listed in their site.

Moreover, I availed of "featured service called RESUME BLASTER" that puportedly sends my resume and profile to the top 500 companies sponsoring h1b visas. Again, to this day I have yet to receive an email or a call. I did a little investigation myself and decided to check the accuracy of their database of the top 500 h1b visa-sponsoring companies in the US. This however resulted in aother disappointment becasue when I sent my resume and profile to these companies, roughly about 40-60% of the email addresses indicated in that database were either incorrect or contained wrong info. I wrote to them twice asking for an explanation however there was no reply. It was only when I emailed them asking for a refund did they reply.

H1Base More Information Update

This is just a quick post to reitterate my feelings towards the site H1Base and how in my opinion I believe;

- At best, H1Base is a overpriced business designed to exploit immigrants further in a US Immigration process already difficult, costly and skewed against them

- At worst, H1Base is a a scam promising things it cannot deliver upon and stating services and facts on their website that are dubious at best.

I have already written two posts about H1Base including; H1Base in my opinion and a post following an H1Base Newsletter that they sent out which stated that a new larger H1B visa quota was likely to happen this year which of course you can see it hasn’t and was never going to. In fact funnily and sadly if Senators Grassley and Durbin get their way the H1B visa quota may become smaller.

So I am not going to redo all the points made in those posts as you can certainly read for yourself and make up on your mind. I also encourage you to read widely about other opinions on H1Base. Read the British Expat Forums or other Immigration Forums and read people’s experiences there as well as type in “H1Base Scam” in Google and see what results and information you find.

The final thing I encourage you to read is the comments below my 2 H1Base posts supposedly made by 2 different people who have nothing to do with the site and trying desperately to defend it If you believe nothing else about what you read anywhere about H1Base, that alone should demonstrate the nature of the people and service you are dealing with.

On their site one of the terms and conditions is:
6.3 No Guaranty of Results. H1 Base makes no representations or guarantees regarding the effectiveness or timeliness of the Site in meeting the Member’s U.S. immigration, visa, and employment objectives.

Agree. H1Base.com is a scam! Their advertisement says H-1B Visa Job Guaranteed! Is it possible to guaranteed H1B Visa jobs? No way! You even can not guarantee American a job! How you can guarantee some one thousands miles away from America?

My friend used h1base services through their college career services. He shared his user name and password with me. When I login, I have never seen so out of date data and poor user interface. Totally useless.

Never use H1base! H1base is a scam!

I agreed with all above comments. I am also a victim of H1base.com's scam and fraud. I lost so much money because of their false advertisement, and faked positive reviews.

They never replied to my emails or phone calls. They listed some many extensions on h1base.com, but none of them works.

Only after I threated to take legal actions, they started replied emails and called me back. They continued to say sweet words and keep false promises. And then they disappeared again. I am not sure if I should report h1base to BBB or attorney general. Maybe I should just called FBI or USCIS, reporting their H-1B Visa and immigration fraud.

I was so desepate to land a H-1B Visa job, I really hope some agency could help me! If H1base really works, please share your expereince.

Well I find it important to share my experience with H1Base. I was looking for a job in the Biotech sector and simply wanted someone to apply for me as it was getting quite taxing for me, making endless applications, filling out forms on company databases etc, while managing my present job. H1Base came up as a company that not only applied for the candidate but found the niche of H1B sponsoring companies that I may not be able to find by myself. So I took their Pro elite service that costs 300 dollars. Setting up my account etc was easy and there was immediate email from the customer service.

From there, things were not that pretty. They 'worked' on my resume, meaning that they made it worse. They had haphazardly put together few sentences from my resume in a sometimes, ungrammatical fashion and seemed to have put no thought into it at all. I had to rework the resume. I did get a response from a 'personal counselor' who seemed to suggest that they will match my profile to the relevant jobs. He was all too sweet and implied that they would match my profile and begin work on my applications. It again looked like a mindful process. It turns out they had sent my resume to no place at all. There are a couple of options in their profile-Healthcare, IT, teaching etc. None related to Biotech.

When I tried the Healthcare option, it went to hospitals and people in the nursing profession. Having even discussed, EXACTLY the kind of job I was looking for, the 'personal counselor' did not tell me that they had no options to send it where my skills would fit. Seeing the list of the hospitals my resume was sent to, I feel that it might have simply bounced off due to the spam filters. It would have been different to have reasonable expectations from a company. I never expected them to 'get me a job'. I did expect them to offer what they promised and be honest in the business, communicating what they actually do clearly. If they did that though, they might be out of business.

However, H1Base has simply used that 'no guarantee' as an excuse to cheat customers. It is worse given that the customers are usually in need of a job and the financial strain is worse on them.

I do feel cheated. It is a pity that such companies continue to thrive and fool people.
It is next to impossible to actually get to speak to somebody through their phone system. The answering machine repeats sentences, and one can never get to a real customer service rep. If I do manage to get to leave a voice message, Nobody replies. When I wrote to my 'personal counselor', he wrote back after me leaving messages on his phone etc, and not immediately. His reply was cold and justifying of the company.

It is a scam. I feel silly for having fallen for it. And wish to warn others. An employment agency or a recruitment cell would probably be better. Certainly not H1Bse that preys on people needing jobs. Stay away from this one.

H1-Base is simply a web database containing a list of companies which at some point in the past have sponsored somebody - that and a college grad guidelines to covering letters, resumes and interview questions. So once you subscribe, you are supposed to write your resume and drop it at the email boxes of the companies included (about 80 for one job type), and this is where their vocation finishes: there is absolutely nobody there who follows-up on your applications, speaks to you or to the companies, helps you with the documents or does anything at all regarding your application process, and the very last thing they provide is a guarantee that you are going to get sponsored.

I have subscribed and it took me a week to get through to them, a dead socket for all the emails sent, and once I finally managed to speak to a consultant, he was impressive at evading to tell you they do not provide any service except for just that one list of the companies, while their 'quarantee' of the visa sponsorship means that if you do not hear from any company then after 21 days you are allowed to repeat your posting and do so again for un unlimited period of time, and they only charge you once!

After the first posting, I got a reply from one very smart chap from Zurich saying: 'Please go directly to our website and do apply for the postings included there'. And this is how it works, applying directly with the companies.

H1base.com provide quite some good content about h1b visa. So I still think people can use it for information but never pay for the service!

H1base.com charges hundreds of dollars for some public data. Other websites provide visa sponsorship list for free. If you Google 'H1Base Scam' or 'H1base Ripoff', you will see many real stories of its unhappy customers.

While they(H1 Base inc registered in Florida) claims that the negative reviews were made by competitors or anti-immigration American, I did find the evidence of their unethical behaviors. The only place you could find positive reviews about h1base.com is h1bvisa.info. H1 Base Inc apparently owns this website but makes it look like an independent review website. They created over 80 fake reviews and stories...Many of their certifications are also questionable or without value.

My suggestion is browse h1base.com for visa information, but do not pay a cent for so called visa job services unless you have too much money to spend!

Or at least talk to them to make sure you will get all your money back if the services do not work. Complain to BBB.org if they do not refund.
