Greenwood Recovery, Greenwood Towing Greenwood Recovery Should be Prosecuted Baltimore, Maryland

I completely understand if Greenwood needs to tow a vehicle for a legitimate reason; however, only being open from 9-5 m-f and closed over lunch is absolutely a joke. I don't even need to explain the reasons. Someone needs to protect the public from abuse like this. What a money scam.

I totally agree with you as I myself was scammed by this same company while visiting this area on 11/1/2014. We (my husband and I) had a prepaid parking ticket displayed on our dashboard as indicated on the sign. We went across the street to have lunch at the Inner Harbor and was only gone for 1 hr. When we return we notice our vehicle was gone from the parking lot. We notice two tow trucks in the lot at the time so we approached one of them who was in the process of towing another car away. We inquired as to where our vehicle could be and he initially pretended to be oblivious as to what may have happen to it. Later he admitted that it may have been towed due to illegal parking in which we assured him that we had a parking ticket that we left on the dashboard. He claimed that he was not the one who towed our vehicle away but chances are that the ticket was not displayed properly or not visible which is why our vehicle was towed and pointed us to a sign with Greenwood Towing's phone number. The employees were very rude and abusive as one threaten to fight me in front of my children if I wouldn't move away from the window cause she didn't like me questioning their shady business procedures. They charged $330.00 in which we had to pay in cash if we were to get our vehicle back. When we checked our vehicle the receipt was found on the floor of the driver side. We showed them our ticket in which they said it doesn't matter cause it wasn't visible to the tow driver.

I must also mention that while we were yet in the parking lot a resident of the apartment complex next door to the lot said that he see them towing vehicles all the time and asked us how much are they charging us in which we mention the $330.00 and he said that they quote different prices to different victims. As we caught the taxi to Greenwood Towing the driver also echoed what the resident said about the fee. I asked the taxi driver does he often take customers to this particular business in which he said "yes". I asked him is this some sort of scam in which he reluctantly said "yes". Go figure!
