Riverside Motor Cars LLC The worst place to do business Waterbury , Connecticut |
1st of Dec, 2011 by User276037 |
I brought a 2000 ford focus from riverside motors LLC in Waterbury Sept 2011 I gave an 1800 down deposit for a car that was about 5800 with taxes. At the time the bank would not give me a loan due to losing my job. When i found that out I was fine I was just going to take my down deposit and buy a used car Christian decided to put the car in his name for me as the lien holder. He said he was doing an act of good faith because I am a college student and he know I needed a car to get back and forth from school. I was a little skeptical at first but he came off as a nice guy just trying to good a good deed for a college student. After i gave him my security deposit he told me my car would be ready in two days and that its going to the shop to have the A/C fixed and one of the belts replaced. I called him two days later to pick up my car they said that he wasn't in and the car is still being fixed. About a week past and i still called everyday and they still told me he wasn't in and the car is being fixed. After a week of calling ad already having insurance on the car I decided to go in when i arrive i seen that the car was still at the dealership they told me christian was out and he will be back later. I continued to call for another week or longer and finally i decided to go over there again surprisingly christian was there he told me he was going to register the car and the car will be ready to pick up tomorrow. The next day I went to pick up the car and it was register and ready to go when i got in the car I realized that the A/C was still blowing out hot air in 80 degree weather and the belt was still making noise and also the radio would cut of and on whenever it felt like it. I didn't understand why any of my problems wasn't addressed after he told me that the reason they held off on giving me the car was because it was in the shop. I had my car for no longer then 30 days christian and i made a payment plan prior to the due date of my payment I contacted him to let him know that I couldn't make the full amount in a lump sum but i would be able to make a portion of the payment by the 1st of October and the remaining balance for October will be paid by the end of the month he agreed to it verbally, by October 2nd my car was repossessed i went outside my house and it was gone. He then wrote me a letter and said I would have to pay the remaining balance of the car off in order to get it back since then I had to withdraw from school and i paid 1800 for a car that I only had for 30 days. He knew prior to giving me the car that i was a college student and I wasn't employed and I needed the car to finish school I had only two semester left this guy knew what he was doing a head of time he scammed me out of my money a car and a education. |
