I registered my pet for what I thought was a photo contest. The email confirmation I received , asked me to get my friends to vote for my pet. In order to vote, my friends had to submit personal info ie a ph #. My friends are smart. They sniffed a rat. Then I received an email telling me that my pet had been selected for the Most Adorable Pets in America Book and that I could pre-order my copy for $69.95. https://www.greatamericanphotocontests.com/PetBook/Default.aspx?referid=Kobe_auto&r=746975 Then I received another email : Dear -----, After reviewing your recent pet photo entry, our Photo Judging Committee selected your pet, Fred's photograph to enter the special $10,000.00 Editor's Choice contest. This contest is separate from the Great American Photo Contest you have already entered, and is judged by professional photographers. The winning pet photograph will receive $10,000.00 Cash. Your pet's photo has been selected to be entered into this exclusive contest. However, you must verify your entry by clicking here now. If you don't enter, your pet photo can't win, and the $10,000.00 will go to someone else. With only a limited number of photo entries allowed, your pet photo could be our next winner. Click now, there is a deadline for entries. So don't wait! I hope to hear back from you soon. and when I click on the link in that email it takes me to a page that requires me to pay an entry fee of $19.95 to get my pet entered into the contest. I have since unsubscribed via the email I received. This is what I consider to be a scam and so dishonest! |

I just received the same email about the most cutest kids in America. I posted my childs photo. I then got the same emails that you had about sending money to them to enter my child. It is definetly a scam. |

I am just at the same level but at the you can win $10, 000 if you pay $19.95 to enter... so what I want to know is if I or someone enters does anyone actually ever win the $10, 000? Are there not rules about contests there have alway been entry fees even way back when for something like a dog show. But where it really gets crocket if when no one wins... so I want to know if anyone actually wins. |
