On 11 October 2011 I received an sms that read as follow: Congrats! Your cell has won R960,000.00 in UK Premier League, REF No: JF1204. For claims, call agent: Jim Harry: 0782613859 or email. I did respond to this sms by phoning Mr. Jim Harry, he then said I had to call him back in 5min he needs to confirm my Ref number. After 5min I phoned Mr. Jim Harry, again he confirmed that my cell has indeed won this money. He then asked if I wanted the money transferred to my bank account or do I want a cheque. I asked him how will I know this is not a hoax, Mr. Jim Harry gave me a number to phone at head office (London) and speak to Terry Anderson 0044 792 4599 028. I then phoned Mr. Jim Harry and to ask to pay my winnings into my bank account. He asked that I sms him my banking details, I did do so. After sending my banking details to Mr. Jim Harry I received an sms that read as follow: Attn: A Cayton, Following the receipt of your details we received from Dr. Jim Harry, Call your agent too activate your Ref Number so that your funds can be transfer into your account. I await your urgent response. Terry Anderson After about an hour Mr. Jim Harry phoned me back to tell me that I have to transfer R550 Vodacom airtime to register my winnings. He said I must send him the serial numbers and pin numbers of the airtime. I then bought the airtime and sms him the pin numbers and serial numbers of the airtime. After about an half an hour I received an sms that read as follow: Congratulation ur ticket number has been activated Two hours later Mr. Jim Harry phoned me and told me the bank cant transfer the money till I pay the bank costs that amounts to R5400. I told Mr. Jim Harry that I don’t have that kind of money to pay the bank costs they must deduct it from my winnings before paying the rest of the amount. Mr. Jim Harry said that they can’t do that I have to pay it. I said let me think about it. He then e-mailed me an Irrevocable Letter of Guarantee (I can forward it to you). Then phoned me to ask if I am going to pay. I said that I don’t have that kind of money and can’t lend it any were and that I already took my kids school fees to buy the airtime. He then said he will pay R2000 and that I must lone the rest R3400 he will give me time till the next morning to get the money otherwise the winnings will be returned and my airtime be send back to me. The evening I send Mr. Jim Henry an sms telling him again that I can’t lend that kind of money and if he will pay the whole amount of R5400 that I will refund him his money plus an extra R5600 for his kindness so I will pay him R11,000 on received of my winnings. The next morning he phoned me telling me that he won’t do it. I said it’s fine he must cancel the winnings and send me my airtime back. Till date I have not received anything back from him or heard from him again. Please help me in this matter. I want people to know and look out for this its wrong that they get away with people’s money that is in desperate need and financial problems. |
