Georgia Best Motors Dishonest Deals Internet |

NIGHTMARE...BEWARE!! After finding out I was expecting I decided it was time for a upgrade on a car. I had been driving a 97 Accord since 2000 that was in almost perfect condition, only one problem it was a coupe. Can't fit a car seat in the back of that. I went to Georgia Best Motors after seeing a Toyota Camry I liked on Auto Trader. Antonio showed me a few cars and I selected the best one to fit my needs, filled out an application and left. A few days later when I had not heard anything from him I called to check the status only to find out he sold the car I was interested in. His excuse was that I never put a deposit on it, something he never told me I had to do. So I went back to the lot yet again to chose another car. This time Antonio suggested a vehicle to me stating they just received and and planned on putting in leather due to the fact that the previous owner destroyed the interior due to smoking. Other than the interior the car looked to be in good condition except for a damaged hubcap. When I asked him what happened to it he said while he was driving the car someone had hit him but he would change the hubcap out for me. After test driving the car it seemed to be in good condition so I decided to go ahead and purchase it. After waiting for him to install the leather and detail the car for me I went to pick the car up almost a week later. Only to see that the car still was not ready for me to take. It as not detailed like he promised and the same damaged hubcap was on it. When I finally got the car the nightmare began. From the very first week I heard a banging noise when I turned the wheel and the brakes were squeaking and grinding. Long story short after several attempts by Georgia Best Motors to fix the problems on the car I took it to a Toyota dealership. This is when I found out just how bad the car was. Turns out the little "hit" that Antonio said he was in was actually a pretty bad car accident. The front steering was still squeaking loudly, the battery holster was completely broken causing the car not to start or to lose all electric power while I was still driving, the air conditioning fan was damaged causing it to blow hot air and the service guy said that the the frame of the vehicle was practically all damaged. All because of the so called "hit" that the car got. And because everything was replaced with aftermarket parts the dealership would not touch it. The worst part is that Georgia Best Motors never reported the accident to Car Fax therefore when I checked the records it looked to be clean. After many angry phone calls back and forth, the owners Danny and Carlos agreed to buy the car back from me. I had practically had to force them to give me my entire deposit back because I had only had the car for less than 30 days and losing $2500 on a raw deal was not in my budget. Plus now I would have to search for another car since I had nothing to drive. Needless to say the nightmare still has not ended because now with my recent outstanding loan i am having a very difficult time finding a new car. Please save yourself a world of stress and drama! STAY AWAY from Georgia Best Motors. What kind of integrity does a salesperson like Antonio have to KNOWINGLY sell a lemon to a pregnant woman when her sole purpose was to have a safe reliable vehicle. Thanks to his dishonesty my life for the last 2 months has been beyond stressful. |
