| On March 28, Eric called and told me he was with the company that I hired to complete my website and that he was calling to review my new website. After his promises to set up search engine optimization and a fee of $1827.50 to set up and $99.00 a month maintenance after that he coercerced me to pay by Paypal, not knowing Paypal will not get involved with disputes on intangible purchases. Once I realized he was not the company that set up my website I had already paid and at that point resigned myself to the fact that he was just an overzealous salesman. After 1 month of chasing them to get started with the process I received my first bill for maintenance. Since I had expected they would have already started writing content, optimizing pages, code integration and submission to search engines but had only completed the most basic of tasks, giving me a few keywords (which takes all of a few minutes in work) thus far and now were already in maintenance mode, I decided I was not going to let them drag me out for 7 more months with excuses as to why they hadn't completed anything. I could not see myself strapped to this company with nothing to show for all of my hard earned money going down the drain. They didn't realize that I had already been trained to do what I was expecting them to do for me. I just simply did not feel I had the time to do it. By them giving me a few keywords, which they asked me to help them with, in 30 days was beyond belief. This was such a bad sign. They are just out to take the naive small business persons money because they know most people don't know what SEO is all about. Since they hadn't started working on my project I requested my money back and have been fighting with them since. If you give this company your money and find out like I did that they are a sham organization who changes their name because they have so much bad press about their first name, I'm told. Do yourself a favor and contact the Attorney General in Washington. They have a file on them and if they get enough complaints they will take action. Also don't forget to file with the BBB as they had already 43 complaints against them in the last 12 months. Any deserving company wouldn't be reported that frequently unless they are up to something. Most people don't even report these things so I can imagine how many other people have been hoodwinked by these unscrupulous people. Russ Johnson, the "Director of Customer Support" has told so many lies to the Attorney General, the BBB and Paypal that he should get an award. I don't know how he sleeps at night. Everything he stated is an outright lie. He can't justify the fact that they have taken my money, didn't do anything and refused to refund me so he has to fabricate his side of the story. Buyer beware. I'm hoping we can get a class action lawsuit filed against these people and put them out of business. |

Don't even bother trying to e-mail Russ Johnson. His e-mail box is always full. Don't try to call him either. You will never get a return call. He is only interested in your money. They violate their own contract by not giving the customer service implied. Never once could I get Eric and everytime I called no one I needed was available. Just try to get them when you really have a question.Talk about high pressure sales and duping the customer! They fast-talk you into running up your credit cards by saying things like taking a calculated risk, implying you will make a lot more money, etc. They do not care if you are on a fixed income and retired. They even show a website and tell you how happy another person your age is with their company.. I know longer think this is true. Ask for real proof. Anyone can make something up.
Plain and simple; They take advantage of poor, desperate people trying to make a little more money to make ends meet with implied promises that never come true. All they care about are their commissions and their bottom line.
Beware of what you are signing. Read every page and do not listen to their sales pitch. JUST SAY NO!
I paid 787.50 after I was quoted 747.50 for set up for the silver before I found out about the 99.99 a month. They conveniently told me about that right after I signed. When I told them I could not afford that they told me it was too late because I had already signed. They conveniently left out the part where you have a certain amount of time to cancel.
Lousy customer service, violated contract by them. Now they put me in collections with a threat of Judgement. |
