Buyer Beware
Do not buy furniture from this company if the furniture is not in the store (IN STOCK). If the furniture you buy is not in the store, you will have to pay the full amount for the furniture and they will have to order it. They will tell you your furniture will arrive within a weeks time. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FIVE WEEKS! The store manager told us we CANT get a refund, no matter how long it takes for the furniture to arrive. This means that EVEN IF IT TAKES SIX MONTHS OR A YEAR FOR YOUR FURNITURE TO ARRIVE YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND. This means that Furniture Discounters does not value their customers, and they do not care if a family spends their hard earned money without receiving any merchandise. They are still selling the same furniture that numerous customers have been waiting weeks for. If you come to this company on a Tuesday or a Wednesday (the days they tell all of us the truck is coming in) you can witness all the angry customers for yourself. This company has three locations in Indianapolis, Lafayette Rd., West 38th St., and E. Washington St. I have researched them on the web and found that many people have been ripped off by this company. They have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. It takes numerous complaints to get an F rating. Also be aware that other furniture stores in the U.S. have engaged in this type of practice where they continue to sell customers furniture that they know is on backorder or has been discontinued. Investigations have found that the furniture stores do this because the company is on the verge of going out of business. So they get as much money from customers as they can, and then file for bankruptcy legally leaving customers with no money or furniture. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU MAKE A PURCHASE. DO NOT BE A VICTIM OF THIS FURNITURE SCAM.
