I have to totally agree with the poster on 2/1/11. I have belonged to the club for about 5 years. I purchased a 5 yr prepaid membership and recently they terminated my membership claiming I violated club policy by a guest of mine being rude to the dockmaster JEFF. That JEFF is absolutely the worse employee in the group followed by Sherry in the office I have never witnessed so many employees belittling paying members. Apparently if you in a prepaid status they claim they make no money (despite the yearly fee paid) so they want you to leave the club. Worst thing is, they claim they do not have to honor older contracts since new owner took over in 2009. Corp office claims it was a buy out, but new owners claim old club lost license and went out of business yet no disruption of services or web address. This club is run so poorly, boats always break down, do not move fast like they should, have problems planning, etc. JEFF will just say you have to many people and to much beer on boat. No boat in fleet can handle tubing or water skiing either he claims. He says a 26ft SeaRay with a V6 and 240-260hp is not strong enough to pull someone or go 30-40mph. Well everyone else in ocean is, yet your boats can not They even screw older members by creating a cruiser club so now you can only take out tiny boats that hold 4 people usually. Freedom Boat Club corp office does not care, they just want franchise fees collected. Horrible horrible company. Look into some other clubs before going there. Only good thing is location.
