I never authorize a merchant to use my debit card and he swipe my card with no permission. I filed a dispute complaint which I wait for more than ten days to get my money back. Now that bank state that is nothing they can do and they have to wait 60 days to merchants to respond in mind time I am giving this merchant free authorize and backup by my bank that suppose to work for members. Not to tell you that I provide all evidence that I do not own no money to that merchant and still an get my money back so if the ban can deal with the problem why I am using this bank that allow merchant to abuse and use unauthorized card. I call several time and all I hear is that I have to wait but they did not wait to charge me changing my debit card and withdrawing my money from my account. This bank is a nightmare. |

We are dealing with a similar complaint in Garland, Tx. Woodforest allowed a debit to go through that was from an old merchant, Direct TV. We no longer had their service and had problems with them when moving and unable to continue servive. Our debt to Direct TV was in dispute at the time and yet they still ran our debit card on file through with their charges for cancelation and non return of equipment (a long story, they never sent the packaging!) We filed a dispute with Woodforest regarding the initial withdrawal and yes, there was a 60 day waiting period for the merchant to respond but they had put the money back into our account in the meantime. Then the 60 days was up and the money was withdrawn again, same charge: Woodforest voted in favor of Direct TVs claim that we owe that money with NO PROOF! They told us that 'because Direct TV has your banking information, i.e. debit card number and a contract stating they will charge the card for cancelation of service and for non return of their equipment etc, then they can debit our account with that information.'
But we are disputing Direct TVs claims of WHAT we owe them and aren't even able to finalize that dispute. If we tell our bank, the people holding OUR money, that we will NOT authorize charges from this merchant and any charges they claim are in dispute, then OUR bank should have OUR backs ... not the big businesses! What on earth is the point of having money in a bank!? They have prepaid credit cards to avoid this kind of abuse ... I'm seriously thinking of paying bills that way because even with using cash for everything possible, no credit cards and using debit cards to pay bills and minimally so ... we've still gotten screwed by BIG BUSINESS! Woodforest is not your friend ... ignore their claims! They don't work for you! |
