Ford Motor Company Fix Or Repair Daily, Found On Roadside Dead, F**ked Old Rotten Dodge misleading advertising tactics Dearborn, Michigan
18th of Oct, 2011 by User677998
Ford is running an advertisement nationally right now that says that they will beat any advertised price for car tires. What they DON'T tell you is that it is REQUIRED that when you buy these tires, you must have the Ford dealership install them and this is where they stick it to you. I found an advertisement for some Good Year tires for my car on sale at Pep Boys. $175 for all 4 tires. Pep Boys Charges something like $40 more to install them and that is only if you WANT them to do it. I showed this advertisement to the Ford Dealer Service Writer "Gabe" At Walker-Burge Ford in West Los Angeles. He said that he will beat that advertised price for the tires no problem. They said they will beat the advertised price and then give me an estimate for the cost of the tires that was about $5 less. Then he told me that the Dealer requires that I have them install the tires and that the labor charge to install them will be an additional $150. This makes the total cost actually $115 more. This advertising they are doing is misleading and dishonest in it's intentions. Shame on Ford.
