Purchased some Sketchers tone up sneakers for my son to work out. The store had a sign for a 15 days trial. meaning you could exchange them for a different size or store credit. When we got home and he tried the sneakers out for a while, the left shoe was bothering him but thought it would loosen up after wearing them. After a while the blood was cut off from his toes being so tight and he couldn't wear them at all and tried to take them back to the store for an exchange for a little larger size. When I got to the parking lot of the store, my strap on my purse broke and everything went flying. I put everything back that I could see but didn't check under all the cars around. I went into the store for the exchange and the man had asked me for the receipt. I tore my purse apart to find it and could not. It had to have blown away but I paid with a credit card and told the man he could check the date on it by pulling it up. He said they can't do that and they need the origional slip. All I wanted was an exchange for size and the man totally refused and said no exchange or return without the origional slip. I contacted headquarters and they told me if the sneaker was defective, to send it back for them to check out and they would return it in 30 days. I got the sneakers because he needed them right away and not 30 days later. I couldn't wait the 30 days for them to decide if they were defective or not. Most stores will exchange them for size if there is a problem but not them. I had to get him another pair from some place else and not Sketchers work outs. I will never go through that again. I never had so much trouble just exchanging something before especially if it was paid by credit card. Their customer service and policies aren't looking out for the consumer, just the company. I paid over $126.00 for the sneakers and can't wear them. Guess it does pay to stick with the companies that help customers. Always check first. I learned. I'll never go back there.
