On November 16, 2010 I purchased a lamp as a birthday present for my husband from this website. This was just over a month before I needed to have it. I knew the holiday season was getting into swing and sometimes it takes longer to get things. The email I received with my order confirmation said my order would ship within 48 hours and I should receive it within 5-7 days. I figured that should put it here just before or right after THanksgiving.
We were out of town for THanksgiving and to be honest I completely forgot about orderingthis (since I had not receive ANY further communication from the company... email or otherwise). It wasn't until almost 30 days later while talking to my mom about my husband's birthday that I remembered I had ordered this and never received anything. So I go back and get my order number from my confirmation email and go to the website to track my order and low and behold there is a tracking number listed and when I click on the link to take me to UPS to track it.... it says that my package was delievered 2 weeks earlier and left in the garage of a house in NY. I live in VA!! So I call the company and they have no clue what's going on. I get the standard "This merchandise is shipped directly from the vendor and we can only go by what they provide to us... let me call them and find out what's going on".
3 days later the customer service rep does call me back and says that the tracking number provided was not my tracking number at all because my merchandise is on backorder. It is now December 20....34 days after I placed the order! I explain to the lady that this was purchased for a birthday present (and his birthday had passed already...sans present) and I don't want to wait any longer, I just want my money back. She says OK and while I am on the phone she says she is putting in the request for a refund. 8 days later I call her back to find out why I have not received my refund yet... she looks it up in the computer and says she doesn't know why it wasn't approved by her manager yet, but she would put it in again and put a rush on it. BUT, it would be after the first of the year because all of their refund processors were off until after then.
Now here we are ...51 days after I ordered something and I have received neither the merchandise I ordered nor my money back!! What I bought was roughly $70... I am a full time college student, and we are supporting 5 people (ourselves and 3 kids) on one salary until I graduate and find a job. We can't afford to just waste money like that. Besides the fact that there is no reason it should take this long to get my money back. Of course you try to call them and sit on hold forever (and I seriously just don't have time to be ont he phone all day long), you go to chat with them online and it's always offline and you send them emails that take DAYS to get responses to.
Don't order from them... EVER!!
