Ok..so, I get an e-mail from exploretalent.com (I am a registered user) that my profile have been viewed by a talent scout for an audition in Frisco, TX for a role as an extra in a play, and that I had to call a number that was listed in it to be considered. I call the number back and it was exploretalent.com's customer service department. The guy that answered was rude.
So I begin to explain the email and its instructions to the representative, because he seemed as if he did not understand what I was talking about, then he cuts meoff saying that since I just had an incomplete, free profile, that there was no way I could get in contact with this scout, unless I went online, completed my profile, then upgrade & activate my profile with one of the rate plans they offered for talent/scouting services. And he also mentioned that I was also scouted by two other well-known agencies and companies (Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms, and a local Texas clothing line), but I also couldn't get their contact information as well, unless I done the previous instructions.
I went online, got a cheap plan, and started looking for the companies' contact information that they supposedly left. Still no contact information. Call again to cutsomer service..this time the young lady I spoke to tried her best to help, but I was transferred to two diffrent departments (one said that I would have to order my Zed cards & that the information of the contacts would be mailed, but my "trial" would be over), and by the time I got to the final department, the rep acted like she could not hear me, gave another phone number, and hung up. I know she could hear me because my phone works perfectly fine.
I will no longer waste my time on these folks (I shoul have done my homework on this company), and continue to use modelmayhem.com to search for photographers.
Do not waste your money on these people..& just like the other people that complained on here- they are around just to make the bucks, and not concerned with getting people connected with the right people for modeling/fine arts work.
Go to .com- they have REAL people looking for ordinary people for talent work.
