Everlasting Memorial Jewelry Rick Fischer My dogs cremated remains and bracelet are lost Strongsville, Ohio |

I had to euthanize my beloved dog and I had her cremated at the Funeral Home I work for. I had a cremation keepsake bracelet that was given to me by my boss after he purchased it from a new distributor- and I had some of her remains placed in the charm so I could keep her with me always. The bracelet broke and was given back to Rick Fischer to fix. He took my bracelet from me when he came to drop off something at the funeral home. He never gave it back. It has been months and Rick claims that he mailed the bracelet back to me. He has NEVER mailed anything to our facility - he always drops it off. He would not return my emails or calls and it wasn't until another employee emailed him and mentioned it that I finally heard from him. He claims he mailed it and originally told me that he had a tracking number. Now he claims he does not but that he is still working on it and 'looking into it'. It has been hard enough to lose my dog but now I feel horrible that some of her remains are lost as well. To me, my pets are everything! One of my biggest concerns is that Rick will do this to someone else and worse... to human remains. What if a child's remains were in the bracelet and he so carelessly lost them? He has told us all nothing but lies and has been anything but reliable for us. It is a huge concern that weighs on me (not only because I want my dogs remains back) but because he will let this happen to someone else! Please protect your loved ones remains from this insensitive monster. Below are some of my emails from him: "Hi guys- Just wondering the status of my bracelet that Rick took to fix. I can arrange to pick it up or have someone pick it up so you dont have to come back out this way. Thanks!" REPLY (MAY 17) "I will have it back to you on Thursday or Friday. They were out of stock on your clasp I needed it just came in and we are finishing up on it this week. Sorry for delay I know how important is to you to have on your wrist. Thanks Rick" "the post office is still not confirmed to me if the package was lost as of yet. They were checking to see if it was undeliverable because of damage to label. As soon as I hear I will call you right away. If you do not hear from me on Monday or Tuesday it is because I will be out of town at a Family Funeral. I hope to have this taken care of by early in the week. Sorry for this headache. I hope to have positive news." " I am stilling trying to find out if your bracelet is lost or not. Working with the US postal service is not the easiest thing to do. I am hoping they find it. I will continue to keep you informed. Thanks Rick" "still do not have any positive news but I have not given up. I know you want this to be over but I do not want to drag it out much longer but I am still hoping to find it for you. I know what this means to you and I have disappointed you. And for that I am truly sorry. Thanks Rick" I know at this point that I will not receive my dogs remains back. He has yet to fess up and tell me so but it is obvious to me. What I feel I need now is for this to NOT happen to someone else so this is why I am writing this. |

I recently purchased a ring from Everlasting Memorials and while they immediately accepted payment, there has been absolutely no movement on the order beyond that for over two weeks. I have sent messages which go unanswered and just tried again today but now their site is reporting technical issues when you try to send a message. I've just googled to try to find a number to call so we'll see if that works but if I get no response with that I will be filing a formal complaint to try to get my $217 returned. |
