I purchased a radar detectors new from someone on eBay selling their unused unit. I called escort to verify the serial number prior to the purchase and the customer service rep substantiated the unit was not registered and had a one-year parts and labor warranty. I proceeded to purchase the unit based on the information I got from the escort representative. I call escort a couple months afterwards to buy an extended warranty and the customer service rep tells me eBay purchases have no warranty. They also shared with me that disclaimers is all over their site. I proceeded to take screenshots from their main page and registration area with no mention of voided warranties for eBay purchases. Furthermore, I called escort prior to the purchase to do my due diligence and escort themselves verified the unit would have a one-year parts and labor warranty. This company was simply not interested in satisfying a customer or even standing by their own customer service rep. I would not recommend after my experience purchasing anything from this company or believing anything they say.

I called your Escort service, and just like you said, some chick called me right back at the "No Tell Motel, " here on US Route 431, but for starters she rang the desk, and when she said her name was Bambi, the clerk told her that she had no idea what she was talking about, and then finally she called you here at Escort Inc., and I have to admit that you folks did a super job! At first, I thought wow! is this an ugly broad, or what, until I discovered that Bambi, was really Bo Bo, and before I knew it, he had pulled a box cutter, and was coming directly at me, and i knew that i had to think fast, and I stood with my back to the open doorway, and as soon as he came at me, I sidestepped him, grabbed onto his body, and kicked him in the ass which totally propelled him out the door, head first into the bumper of a '57 full blown Chevy convertible, black, with white top, 4-speed Hurst Shifter, original naugahyde interior, with a 1969 Corvette aluminum block 427, and then the guy in the room next door, came out in his underwear (with the Fruit of the Loom label on the outside) who actually owned the car, thinking that someone had fooled with this killer car, but quickly saw that Bo Bo, was still out for the count, but the bumper was totally fine!! So, by that time 510am, I was too tired to fool around, and your customer service people were polite, professional, definitely had a knowledge of the product, and refunded me every dime of the up front fee, of $200!! I couldn't believe it!! Hmmmm?? Wait a minute!! This isn't hooker's inc, a subsidiary of Escort Inc, this is some computer shit!! Hey!1 I'm outta here!! Have a good week!
