Epson Canada Epson GT-1500 purchased directly online from Epson.ca. Epson's Mail in Rebate scams Internet

Hi, On April 6th I purchased (order number: CA-002214137) an Epson scanner GT-1500 online with a promise of a $50 Mail in Rebate rebate. On April 25 I submitted all the required documents to claim my rebate, which included 1-: original receipt that came with the delivery. 2- UPC code that was attached to the box. 3- completed Mail in Rebate form. On 29 June, I received a letter from Epson. In the letter there was a copy of my original Mail in Rebate form which I had submitted on 25 April and my envelope, along with a letter from Epson claiming that I failed to submitted the purchase receipt and that I must submit the UPC code from original packaging.
Now since this is an online purchase, the only receipt and UPC code came with the box and they know that customers would not keep the packaging for over three month, therefore they make such requests. Also, the online proof of purchase from online accounts is not accepted. This is an out right scam from this corrupt company that fools customers with rebate promisses and then plays gimmicks in order to deny them the promissed rebate. I tried finding a way to contact epson but there is no proper email or phone number. So they stole 50 dollars from and I don't think I will get it back but I promise that epson will not make a penny out of me again.
