I signed up with Epic Models New York and went through a slew of troubles with them. They re very unorganized. I paid for comp cards that took months of me badgering to finally get in. They owe me about $1000 dollars for three modeling jobs that I was never paid for. They told me they got paid and that I would be mailed my check, then they changed their story and said they were never paid.
Now they won't return my calls, have moved their location twice, and have disconnected some of the phone numbers. They won't respond to my emails either. I am trying to take them to small claims court currently but first I need to track down their address so that I can serve them with papers. Stay away from them at all costs. The agency was ran by Darlene Damalerio, who also went by Darlene Josephine and her sons Jonathan San Pedro and Julian San Pedro. Her husband John San Pedro did a "test shoot" with me, and the photos were really unusable. Also, I think they used me to take photos in garments they planned on selling on ebay.
They also threw a "charity event" and charged tickets for entry. I didn't attend but was invited, and now I believe they probably pocketed all the profits from that.
They also have other companies as well in several cities and I think they are scamming people everywhere. I've heard from several other models not getting paid by them. They run Epic Branding & PR or Epic Ad co. and Third Eye Management. Darlene also sells/rents real estate.
