On Nov 14th, I submitted my information online to recieve quotes from moving companies. One call I received from a representative named Jennifer "seemed" to be a good deal. After speaking with this person for a while I asked who she worked for so I could look up more information about the company. As I am on the phone with her I see there was a previous scam report filed so I ask her about it. She stated it was against the company out of Florida and that she was in New Jersey. She even made the argument that just because you have a bad experience at Wal-Mart doesn't mean you will have one at a different Wal-Mart location. Agreed. So I went ahead and gave out my credit card information to book the move. I was still reluctant to use this company, but money was tight so I had to stretch it as far as I could. However, the more I was reading about this company, the more I worried. I saw on one report that the company had no verifiable address. When you type it into google maps, it does not show a moving company. This really worried me, because for a company that claims to be in business for as long as they say, it should be part of the google map database by now. I immediately called and expressed my concerns to Jennifer. I repeatedly asked her to cancel and she kept pressuring me not to. I eventually asked what the NJ address was for her office. The address she gave me could not even be found on google maps either. I told her that and she got on her computer and after five minutes of searching for it herself she said, well "I don't know what address you are putting in but it's right here. I will email you the information." So she hangs up and the email I get is the same address I was inputting and still could not find. So I called back another time and this time the repepresentative that answered would not let me talk to Jennifer. I told her I wanted to cancel and she said I would have to talk to Jennifer and that she would tell her to call me back. Jennifer did not call me back. I called again later that same day (this was all over about a two hour time span) and still could not speak to Jennifer. I was told by the rep that she had put in to cancel the order. A few days later, I noticed that the order was charged to my credit card. So I called Panet Van Lines and asked to speak to Jennifer in regards to this. They were making excuses so I could not speak with her saying she was busy. So I said I would hold on the line for her. After 17 minutes, I hung up. I called back immediately, but I used *67 to block my number and guess who answered?! Jennifer. So she was not on a call, but didn't bother to pick up the phone when I was on hold. When confronted about the refund she said it was cancelled but I would have to wait 3-5 days to get the refund. When I told her I was informed that the charge wouldn't appear beacuse it was cancelled the same day she fumbled through an excuse as to why it showed up and said she would look into it. I did not hear back. When I called again, I kept getting forwarded to the answering machine. So I used the *67 again and magically my call is answered, go figure! Jennifer said that the refund was supposed to be coming and I asked for a receipt to be emailed to me saying they were refunding it and she said she would sent it over. I checked my email while still on the line with her and had not received it. She said, "Well, some customers have been saying they haven't been getting our emails because of bad weather. It should come." She then just said to give it a few minutes and to call back if I don't get it or to call again the next day. I called the next day and could not get anyone to pick up the phone. Now, 14 days later!!! I am trying to call and find out why I have not yet been refunded and Jennifer just said she will look into it and call me back. She said it can take a few days to process, when I reminded her it had been 14 already, she said she would just have to look into it and would call back. I have still not heard anything from her.
