Enterprise Rent-a-car False damage accusation - INSURANCE FRAUD???? new orleans, Louisiana |
29th of Mar, 2011 by User115848 |
My car went in to the car dealer for extensive service so they connected us to the Enterprise Rent A Car location in Metairie where they have a relationship. Having heard about the scams that Enterprise runs on other friends, I was leery to take the car from them. However, I didn't have much of a choice. That day, the Enterprise rep told me that 3 cars had been stolen or totaled from their site and so they were very short vehicles. Additionally, it had been pouring rain that day. We rented a vehicle that was the last one on the lot. It had just been returned and not cleaned. But we took it because we needed to. We signed the paperwork and got out of there. Upon returning the vehicle, I left my 20 year old son with the keys to turn in while I went to my meeting. The rental team started screaming at him that an underage driver had been driving the car. He explained he hadn't been, but their report still states that a 17 year old had been driving the car and returned it. They then told him that there was a crack in the bumper. As I had driven the car and know exactly what happened to it, we did not put a crack in the bumper. If it was there, then it was there when we took the car in the rain and no one could see it. But you know that I now have a bill from them for over $400. When I called to dispute they also told me to call Risk management to sort through the errors at the location. They had been rude and cleared mistaken on several accounts. The person at Risk Management transfered me to Justin, the location manager. Justin put me on hold for 15 minutes and then some young girl got on the phone and said that Justin was too busy to talk and hung up. I got another letter that said that the dispute showed that I was wrong and was I writing them a check, using a credit card or turning it over to my insurance. I called again and spoke to a supervisor in dispute who said she would resubmit my claim. And that I should call Risk Management about Justin. |
