Empire Today gave us an estimated for 1000sq feet of flooring. $3.00 sqft flooring, + same amount for installation, furniture moving, taxes. The amount was to included 67% discound on material plus 10% internet coupon(this he said was how the buy one room get 2 free was done) The installers came and they had flooring for only 570 sqft. called Salesman, service number in Texas and spoke to installers who said they had what was ordered. Got a complaint number from texas and finally the saleman called back. He was still staying that it was over 800sq feet to be installed plus the 20% overage for cutting. My son took the phone from me and asked him to explain, salesman hung up. The job only need 540 sqft and when I the installer asked me to sign his papers It was clearly stated that only 540sqft was ordered. I calculated the price we should have been given and it should have been no more than $3000. He dis not give us a breakdown so molding and underlying was estimated high by me. He charged us $6900. more than $4.000 excess. I should have down the math. I called him Sunday and got his recorder and left a message saying he lied and overcharged and I was finally going to stand up and fight but hoped he would fix the problem first. Oh, while he was there so was my husband the reason for the new flooring. He had tonsil cancer, a feeding tube, cannot swallow, a trach, and on oxygen. he is a thief |
