Electronic Arts Interactive EA Interactive False Advertising of game Battlefield 3 - Multiplayer does not work - Horrible Customer Support Redwood Ci |
30th of Oct, 2011 by User331842 |
Electronic Arts Interactive aka EA Interactive recently released a game for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC called Battlefield 3. This game was released on October 25, 2011 and was purchased by me and millions of other people worldwide. Unfortunately, many people could not log on to the Multiplayer due to the EA Servers being "overloaded". Not only was this a silly problem any company could have resolved within a few hours, but this has continued to occur all week. I have not been able to play since the 25th of October 2011 and it is now November 1, 2011. I tried returning this game at GameStop, but they said EA would not take any opened returns so all I could get was a new copy WITHOUT the required online pass. Although my code seems to work fine, I cannot connect to multiplayer. What happens is the following: Click on Multiplayer > EA Online connection was lost. > Click 'OK' > "Loading..." appears at bottom of right screen > Game becomes unresponsive > Exit required Spoke to an EA Rep before trying to return game at GameStop for over an hour. We troubleshooted everything from trying to connect my PS3 directly to the modem, to changing the DMZ on my router, and all these other things that made no sense whatsoever. I can play other games, why not Battlefield 3?! At the end of conversation with EA Rep, he admits that its definitely a problem on their end with their servers. If it's a server issue, why does my game become unresponsive after choosing Multiplayer? That does not seem valid. Even if it were a server issue, I have not been able to play the game for which I paid for in almost a week nor have I been able to get a refund! I highly recommend that all users having issues with Battlefield 3 to file a complaint with Ripoff Report as well as the BBB! In this day and age, consumers don't need to take this sort of treatment from any company - file a complaint and spread the word. |
