This company is owned by Gary Delia. His phone numer is (407) 924-6480. This company is employing deceptive sales practices in the presentation of the product. They train the salespeople to tell the prospective customer about a bogus "target marketing program" which entitles the customer to a discount on the windows as long as they sign up while the representative is in the home. They are supposedly not entitled to the "discount" at any other time. The way it works is that the representative is to follow the following script. This is done after the rep is supposed to present a substantially higher price than what the company can actually do the job for, and a higher monthly payment. The customer of course will object to the high price and payment, at which time the rep will go into the following script to close the customer. This is the exact script verbatim (with my comments in parenthesis): The Target Marketing Program Close 5 things I will need for you (to qualify for the program): 1. Job sign on the lawn for 30 days (does not happen) 2. 30 days after the job is finished I would need a letter of recommendation and who would normally write a letter like that? (they do not go back to the customer for the letter, unless the salesman does it) 3. Before and after pictures that we can use in our brochures (also does not happen unless the salesman does it, and there are no such brochures) 4. Price confidentiality because the price I "may" be able to offer you "tonight" most likely will not be available to your freinds or neighbors. (a complete lie, and a tactic they use so that the customer does not tell people about the price, find out they paid to much, and cancel) 5. Last but not least, I will need a yes or no while I am here this evening. The reason is this program is on a first come first serve basis. We only offer this program in certain areas and I am not sure if it is even available in this area now. What I would need to do is to call my office and give your address and zip code. If it is available they will give me an acknowledgement number which will tell me what the discount would be. If you decide to accept it that number would go along with your agreement... and if you decide not to accept it I just have to call my office so they can put it back into the system so other famlies can take advantage of it. Fair enough? pick up the phone and make the call... At this point, the rep is supposed to call the sales manager who will "check the system" to confirm that based on the zipcode and address that the program is available. Bob then says that he has great news, the program is available, and gives a bogus acknowledgement number off the top of his head. Then the salesperson is supposed to close the customer on the lower price (which is still too high) and pressure the customer into signing the contract. There is no target marketing program. It is just a ploy to get people to think they are getting a great deal. If you are seeing this after signing up with Duramade - be advised that you have been duped and are paying too much. My advise is that you cancel immediately and find another company that deals honestly with it's customers. By the way, this company is the same people who were known as Tropical Roofing, who had to change the name and line of business because of too many complaints to the Better Business Bureau... Rip U.
