Dr Oogle is a marketing company that solicits reviews from individuals to rate Dentists. They also provide advertising and other means to entice dentists to sign up for their services. I read a negative review posted on my name which I felt was unfair and harassing, and decided to try to at least present my side of the situation. After contacting Dr. Oogle I was informed that the only way to make any correction or rebuttal was to subscribe to their services. I was hesitant but decided to subscribe and correct what I felt was misleading and partially untruthful information. I paid the $149.85 subscription fee, and detailed in writing my side of what happened with the patient and sent the information to them. Shortly after I submitted my side of the situation, Dr Oogle’ removed the negative review from my posting. During the next few months, Dr Oogle’ sent several emails advertising their services to market and advertise my practice, but I wasn’t interested and didn’t respond. When the three months ended, they tried to debit my credit card which was no longer valid because it had expired. I received several emails to contact them or my subscription would expire. I ignored them because I wasn’t interested in their services. Shortly after refusing to renew my subscription, I learned that Dr Oogle’ had reposted the same negative review. It was also interesting to note that they also had removed most of the positive reviews that had been posted previous to my failure to pay more fees. My assessment of Dr Oogle’ is that they are an opportunistic marketing scam. They use the pretense of advertising and marketing your practice for a monthly subscription price of $49.95. My advice to other dentists is DO NOT CONTACT THEM!’ Don’t try to work with them, and stay away from them and their website, unless you are willing to pay extortion fees the rest of your career. |
